at our december parlugment meeting we had the honour of presenting a member with
a small moc after having picked names for a secret santa gift (thanks to fellow
member norbert black for this idea). members who participated put their names
and preferred themes in a “hat” and surprises were revealed at our christmas
get-together. we were only limited by our imaginations and encouraged to spend
approximately $5 in pieces. the results are found on our group’s website
here.
in making my moc, i wanted to create something that both our group member, jeff
brundige, and his young family could enjoy. in this light, i made 5 ornaments
for the christmas tree complete with clip for the ornament hanger. in a non-lego
moment, i allowed myself to include red jingle bells for extra effect.
for the final effect, i asked rob hendrix (brickmodder extraordinaire) to help me out by supplying an appropriate nose for
rudolph. 3 2x2 round tan plates have been modded to fit the battery and the led
sits in the 1x1 round red plate.
now rudolph guides santa’s sleigh all the way to the brundige household!
