I've been experimenting with building elevated highways, and have several questions pertaining to such. I wanted to build on a scale of about 3 meters/stud, but I don't think that's an adequate resolution if I want to put in realistic curves, anyone have a better idea for the proper scale? Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone has had experience with building curves into viaducts. I've discovered that it's quite difficult. I've tried combinations of turntables, stud offsets, and hinges, all to no avail. Another problem is building realistic looking barriers. I intended to build with modern concrete barriers, but I think using lengths of hose and such to represent metal railing would make my life much easier. If anyone has experience with such things, or has pictures of same, please reply. I've looked in numerous online sources for pictures of Lego viaducts, but all I've found are straight elevated railways..

(...) Jordan, You might want to check out Adrian Egli's bridge studies at (URL) they are much larger than the scale you're looking at, you may get some ideas. There are several nice bridge examples there, including a couple of curved ones: (URL) (20 years ago, 5-Oct-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.arch)
