Check out this really neat folder on Brickshelf:

I love the whimsical nature of the little scene that has been created.

The creator calls it "microscale" but I think most would agree it's not really
microscale (smaller than minifig scale). Instead these animals are sculpted at a
scale much closer to real than minifig scale. (perhaps 1/2 to 1/4 real life
size). That scale is a bit smaller than most sculptures, typically

What would you call that scale?

If they were the same size as the real thing, I'd label them as 'lifesize'
scale.  Based on your comments I'd call them 1/2 lifesize or 1/4 lifesize.

Macro?

I wouldn't.  I have always thought of macro as lifesize or more often even
larger. Based on the idea that macro tends to mean "large or large-scale".  I've
always thought of those 10X scale bricks that people (including myself) have
built as being macroscale models of a real life object.  Unless I'm really not
understanding the intention behind the word 'macro'.

BTW I love the models! Very Designer like. The builder has some other great
folders too, go up.

Agreed.  There's a great sense of fun there.  But now looking at another folder:

I'm wondering the same as you did earlier.  Are these microscale?  They are
proportionally much smaller, in some cases, than the frogs were to their real
life inspiration.

Where does scaled down lifesize end and microscale begin?  :)

Best regards,
Allan B.
