  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) They've been available from the pick-a-prick selection in Legoland Windsor for a while now. They're fairly good value for filling up a cupful, if you have a use for them. (...) Maybe another layer, although I'm working to a flat base here so I (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) As I said, they didn't work out quite how I'd hoped, but it works well enough that the intent is instantly recognizable. And if located on the edge of a display, it can result in a self-replenishing "foam" effect, courtesy of jealous (...)   Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) Bingo! Although I'm not sure if anyone has ever noticed the other half of the water joke on their own either. (...) Actually...not. And not for the reasons you mentioned. Our moon has settled into a 1:1 day/month cycle because of the tidal (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) I imagine that you are refering to the skeleton under the boardwalk. Hey that reminds me of a song... I really like it when the jokes practically create themselves. (...) Indeed. Although, the tidal pull of the earth could make for some swell (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) I think it was the only major MOC that I worked on for about two months straight, though I did complete at least two small Toa-based MOCs. The gags just kind of flowed on their own, and about half of them were inspired by others as I added (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: StarScoot

(...) Oooooh so cute, well done. The way you've used the different parts on the sides to give a mix of winglets, curves and bulges is so eye-catching, I can hardly stop looking at it! Excuse me while I go look at it again... Of course I'm about to (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: StarScoot

(...) I REALLY like this...so much playability built into such a compact package. What I like most is that everytime I think I've figured out which direction your bricks are generally oriented, they pull a 90 or 180 and start off in a new direction. (...)   Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) I quite like the water effect these tiles give. For this NBLTC display I just used a single layer of plates of various colours under them: (URL) photograph seems to have picked up the underlying colours a bit too clearly. In reality, you can (...)   Re: StarScoot

(...) Yes, they are very useful. I hope they don't go away. (...) You are correct. It is just a prototypical engine type marking. Not all pink Lego is spamcake, and I try to remember to ask whenever I see pink Lego unshielded. (...) Piece of (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) David, this is hilarious, and well executed. Way to fill a pool with gags. Too bad there's no room for surfing. :-D Oh, yeah, and the price of a glass of water on the moon doesn't surprise me one bit. ( My wife works in the arctic on occasion, (...)   Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) I'm not sure I ever saw that before. The invisible water idea works pretty well in his pool, because it's obviously a swimming pool w/ diving board, but mine would have just looked like a sloped sand-dune without water and someone flying the (...)   Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) Oh? In a general sense, or did someone actually do that to you? (...) Absolutely! Notice that even bully-droids and tyrant-wizards wear speedos in space. Black and red, of course, because dressing in those colors makes you look extra sinister. (23 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: StarScoot

(...) Excellent, Tom. That canopy really works well at that angle and gives further proof of the necessity of the finger hinge. Now, that can't be exposed spamcake on the sides, can it? No, it must just be 'painted' to indicate the presence of (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  The P-38 Theme Hoverbike

Upon hearing of the P-38 contest in .space, the guys down at Moonbase County Hoverbikes deciced to pay homage and design a P-38 theme hoverbike. So after many nights of fabricating, building and an occasional arguement here and there, this was their (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: 3vil Chopper

(...) That's what it is! Many milliseconds of research went into this design. And for guessing correctly you win a pound of class 6 black star nucleus. The only catch is, you have to go get it.   Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) Certainly is a fun moc! Reminds me of Adrian's pool on his Rigel 7 moonbase. I gotta love that pool! definately need to something like that in a moc of mine! Would love to see this in a moonbase layout - is very nice! -Lenny (23 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: StarScoot

(...) Very Gil Shaw-esque - I am really jealous of you people who can build small so well. this is just too cool. But if only you used a bit of red here and there, it would look so much better ;) -Lenny (23 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

As you might have noticed, I've been away. The multi-system uprising in sector 459w required my attention. But not to worry, it has been squished. (URL) You may resume the fear and loathing.
