        RE: Curved walls —Rich Thompson
This is one of my favorite sites for LegoSurfing. Of course this curved wall link begs the question: What is the best way to acquire the 1x1 rounds (especially white ones)? I can see R2-D2's body materializing in Legos in front of me, but I ran out (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.build)

If you can find any, buy the anniversary tubs (set# 3761) it has eight of them (not much I know, but probably the best you can do with what's out there today) Silas Rich Thompson wrote in message <000401bea12a$3f39bf...rr.com>... (...) wall (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.build)

Yes, but I did a little calculation and figure I will need: 1x3 Brick 215 White 1x1 Cylinder 215 White 1x3 Brick 143 Blue 1x1 Cylinder 143 Blue to do a decent 28 stud high cylinder for an R2-D2 "body". I guess I will watch for the next Auczilla to (...) (25 years ago, 19-May-99, to lugnet.build)

Wow!!! ..... "mixed cylinder curving" ... I like the curved walls, but I love the "radiating chapel" effect that you built. What a great idea. More proof of the "power of the brick". Eric, I like how you took the problem of curving in LEGO, and (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Curved walls —Robert M. Dye
Curved walls may also be built with 2x4 brick and 2x2 bricks, with 1x2 bricks added to give more stability. You kunk the 2x4 bricks with the 2x2s, but connect to opposite corners on the 2x2s. The 1x2 bricks can go on one side of the 2x4s. It does (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)
