First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Bill Vollbrecht
Hey everybody! This is my first attepmt at posting on brickshelf.com. Lets hope I didn't mess up too bad! (URL) is a model I constructed while at LEGOLAND, but it never did get to be used for its intended purpose. Luckily, I was able to get it as my (...)         Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Anne Carasik
(...) Very cool. Is the working clock mechanism going to be made out of LEGOs? :) Oh yeah, and welcome to the group :) Hopefully, we'll get you to the next LUGOLA meeting :) -Anne (20 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Thomas Main
(...) Wow! I can see why you are a professional model maker. This model is a step above even the excellent models displayed here by enthusiasts. I think this is in part due to the artistic flavor of the model. The colors chosen and their placement (...) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Bill Vollbrecht
(...) Thanks for your comments! This is only one instance of using non-LEGO parts. Ususally I would never do this as I always have said - anything can be built in LEGO. But I really wanted to make this look as realistic as possible, in the right (...) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Dawn Sullivan
(...) WOW!!! I can honestly say, that clock caught my eye faster then anything I've seen posted in a few weeks. I love it! Are those trans yellow 1x1 tiles on the top door? I'd love to see some more detailed pics of it. How did you hang it? The (...) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Bill Vollbrecht
(...) Aw, go on, you make me blush! Thanks! I'm not sure I know what you mean by the top door. If you are referencing the area where the cuckoo bird is, I just used one of those 2x3 plate peices that are like a trailer hitch type thing, where the (...)          Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Dawn Sullivan
(...) Good thing I didn't say more. Ok, I'll hold back on the praise henceforth. ;) (...) The door that's open where the cuckoo bird comes out of. It appears almost translucent in the pic but looking more carefully now, it seems it's actually the (...) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Ted Michon
(...) Bill- Gorgeous clock. The part you mentioned as a possible stumbling block to reproduction is readily available here "on the outside". Precious Princess Palace on bricklink.com has over 2000 in stock at under 3 cents each. Looking forward to (...) (20 years ago, 28-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Conrad Frank
Hey Bill, I didn't know that was yours! I've seen it through the window in the Model Shop at LLCA many times! Here is a picture I took back in December of 2001: (URL) love that clock! more pictures please! C (20 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Kevin Wilson
Bill Vollbrecht wrote in message ... (...) That's a very sweet model Bill. I especially like the snow-covered trees. How did you do the clock numerals? Are they Lego?          Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Bill Vollbrecht
(...) Thanks Kevin! Unfortunately, I cannot take credit for the trees. Those were designed by a friend of mine in the modelshop. They were actually for sale this last year in the park at Christmastime. Might still have some left for sale, except the (...) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Brendan Powell Smith
That's a beautiful model, Bill. I too would love to see some more detailed photos of it. When you say "next time I get some photos developed", am I to understand that you are using a film camera, not digital? Get with the times, man! I'm sorry. I (...)         Re: First MOC: Cuckoo Clock —Bill Vollbrecht
(...) Thanks! (...) I actually DO have a digital camera, but unfortunately, my computer is so old that I'm afraid to install the software for downloading pics onto my computer. That, and there is no room left for pictures, even if I could! Imagine a (...) (20 years ago, 28-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)
