  Re: Little jet, fighter

(...) Thanks Tom! Especially with these little sets it's quite difficult for me to get the parts at the right place. But I like these challenges and I think it's great for others too, because they are able to rebuild it when they posses this set. (...) (23 years ago, 21-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: Virtual Beethoven (largest MLCad-project ever ??)

I have to clear up one thing: I'm not really a fan of Beethoven. I just needed a subject for a statue. Among the 3D Sculpture Puzzles that were available at the time, I thought that this Beethoven puzzle suited the purpose best. Maarten (by the way, (...) (23 years ago, 21-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: Virtual Beethoven (largest MLCad-project ever ??)

(...) I used the same method, unfortunately I didn't have a 3D laser-scanner to start from. That's why I bought this 3D sculpture puzzle. That's another thing I have to put on my "want-to-do"-list. I wonder where I could find someone to sponsor a (...) (23 years ago, 21-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Little jet, fighter

(...) You've got some really nice forms there. The jet and the chopper have great lines and look very natural. That you accomplished this within the limits of one set's worth of pieces is that much more impressive. -- Tom (23 years ago, 21-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: Virtual Beethoven (largest MLCad-project ever ??)

Maarten Very nice job. I like the "smoothness" and the detail you achieved by using jumpers and tiles. Ludwig lives. Oh, and I forgive you... -Henry (23 years ago, 21-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Maarten, Those are 63540 virtual elements put to very good use. You managed to capture the essence of his expression, and in turn what makes his music so powerful. Well done. I can't say enough how much I like this work. As well, thanks for (...) (23 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Little jet, fighter

(...) Thanks John! No intentions for the slide looking doors on the helicopter. It's all about imagination and suggestivity and I think it very well could have been sliding doors of a rescue copter. :-D Nathanael (23 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Taking LUGNET to the next level

Chats with people at BrickFest PDX last weekend got me thinking a lot more about LUGNET and its role in the community. I've bounced some of my thoughts off of various people (including three people from LEGO) and responses varied from positive to (...)   Miniland Figure Star Wars MOC: Bothan Spy

This is sort of a redo of two of my older (and now pretty crummy looking by comparison) figures: my original Bothan and Stormtrooper. Disguised in a modified Imperial Scout Trooper uniform, this armor has flight capabilities, perfect in case a hasty (...)
