Is it a mosque? Is it an office building? Who knows! What I know for sure is
that its BIG and YELLOW. This building appeared in IndyLUGs GATS train
layout in October 2003 and January 2004.
The building rests on 4 green baseplates and has a single entrance. All of
the walls and roof are yellow, and all of the windows are black. The only
deviance from the yellow and black color scheme is the baseplates, the 1 minifig
inside and the computer on his desk. I had a whole lot of yellow, so I had to
do something with it. The walls are all 2 studs thick, and the windows are
mostly 1 stud thick. The part that took the most work per piece was the
doorway:
Theres a lot of SNOT in the doorway, and I was really pleased with the way it
turned out. As for the rest of the building, it was made to be big and fast,
but not very elaborate or detailed. Someday Ill probably do a more detailed
version of this same building. It definitely needs more windows. I learned
something about photographing yellow MOCs with large flat walls: the seams
(cracks, spaces, whatever theyre called) between the bricks show up pretty
sharply.
I didnt consider this a disadvantage though, since the style of the building
was sort of something from the first half of the 20th century when buildings
were more bricky. Heres the link to the folder:

finds out what this building actually is, please tell me. Im just dying to
know what it is that I built. ;) David Fuzzy Gregory
