Yes, my three kids like(d) the Brio train and it has survived them all. Good
quality, but a bit expensive nevertheless.

In theory, yes. In practice, no, as the 'wheels' don't turn! They're just a
round plate on a 'headlight' brick. Also, the couplings are quite stiff, so
it can't negotiate the curves.
But I can put it on a straight side track to fill up the view...
