Simple - set a layer of plates underneath the baseplates. This brings it up to the height of two plates.

(2 URLs) Okay, you are hopefully seeing a picture of what I am building on above -- if not, use the link. I am using a 4x4 grid of these 16x16 stud baseplates to increase the modularity of my construct. The total building space is 64x64, of course. (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.build, FTX)
