Hi all,
I've been toying with the idea of melting down unwanted sand-green dino parts
and casting some parts with the ABS. Not looking for a perfect reproduction,
just something close.
The mold needs to be flexible to be able to remove the original and cast
pieces. Some sort of high-heat silicon, maybe?
I've seen the posts about the heat experiments, but I can't find any prior
posts on this subject. I'd be interested in hearing if anyone's tried this
before.
Thanks,
Gary
p.s. I know this is a sin to some people, but I really hate dino parts.

| ABS won't just flow into a mold in the oven, you need lots of pressure. I recommend using cheese instead. Cheddar is better for sculpting but Velveeta has superior flow (Sharp and Jack develop rubbery skin and Mozarella and especially string cheese (...) (22 years ago, 16-Oct-02, to lugnet.build)
