Hiya all
Just thought someone might be interested in the fact I've added a new
section on my website....
www.ozbricks.com/andrastavia
Go to the Village and have a look at my sculptures..... I have put pix of my
F14 TOMCAT fighter on there I built years ago.....

Hope you like it....

That got my attention.  Excellent Tomcat there Kevin.  That thing looks
huge!  It must be pushing technic fig scale at least.  I particularly like
your unorthodox canopy structure, and the integral landing gear and
airbrakes show a fine attention to detail.  Very very nice.

I built it around 15 years ago... mid 80's so there wasnt alot of different
parts to use for a canopy.... I had to be creative with what I had...!!!
The model was almost 1 metre long.. and took around 1 day to build. I based
it on pictures I had, and a small model my brother had.

The rest of your site is equally well done, though I must say that due to my
building experience, I was naturally drawn more to your tomcat than your
impressive castle models.  Tangentally, do you find it hard to switch your
building gears, so to speak.  That is to say, do you find it difficult to
build something entirely on your own (your structures, for example) and then
build something based upon a pre-existing example (the Tomcat)?  I ask
because I myself have difficulty sitting down and building something
original, and instead find it much easier to base my models on something.
How do you do it?

I'm glad you like my site.... as for my building, I've been building with
lego for around 25 yrs now, and have buitl many a realistic model, and many
from my imagination.... I prefer to build things from my imagination, as I'm
not limited and I guess being a graphic designer I enjoy using my creative
imagination for building... but I do enjoy building models based on
reality... its a chalenge...did you see my sword, crown, shield and goblet?

On a different subject, this is the third Tomcat sighting on LUGNET in the
past few weeks (Starting with Joe Meno's Red Tom, my own sadly virtual model
and your immense recreation.  I think there's also Steve Barker's kit-like
version somewhere in brickshelf that really captures the form in the least
amount of pieces.).  Keep it up guys.

Thanx Bryce.....
