Ever seen this brick? —Rodney Gentry
Here is a good one. I've never seen this, and am 99.9% (havent found the label on it yet) certain it is a genuine lego brick. It is a yellow, 1x1 inverted brick. Yes, 1x1. Its no different from the 1x2s, only it doesnt have the "1x1" brick on the (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Ever seen this brick? —Tony Hafner
(...) I believe that Lego did a lot of similar pieces in their Modulex line, but they use a different stud size. Heh- you'd probably be 99.9% sure that it was NOT Lego if you weren't specifically familiar with this system. (...) Yes, please- I'm (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

(...) You got it! (URL) is very odd indeed. Out of countless hundreds of thousands of pieces, it is the only one like it. I believe it came from a fairly large box picked up at a local flea market. Rodney Gentry Woodchuck County Fire and Rescue (URL) (22 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

(...) I betcha that isn't LEGO. If it is, it should say "LEGO" inside the hole in the stud, and/or have numbers printed somewhere inside it. Look closely. --Bill. (22 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Ever seen this brick? —Rodney Gentry
(...) I wondered the same thing myself. There is a number "2" on the inside of the inverse slope. 2 indications, or questions are: 1: The texture of the slope is the same as regular slopes. 2: the top edge of the slope (stud side) is slightly (...) (22 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Ever seen this brick? —Frank Filz
(...) It may be Tyco. I know they have a slope which is 1x2, just sloped. Another possibility is Coko. Does it appear to be the same ABS as LEGO or is it more like the plastic in model cars? Frank (22 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Ever seen this brick? —Rodney Gentry
(...) I had some of the old Tyco bricks, and checked it against them, to no avail. Coko I have never heard of. It is the same ABS as lego bricks though. Rodney Gentry Woodchuck County Fire and Rescue (URL) (22 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Ever seen this brick? —Dave Schuler
(...) Sorry I couldn't comment earlier--I didn't even see this thread until I spotted the image on Brickshelf while browsing your fantastic fire engine models. To answer your question, Frank is indeed correct--it's TYCO. I have about 25 of these (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Ever seen this brick? —Rodney Gentry
(...) THank you sir! I have since found out myself, that these are in fact Tyco 45s. I know they yellow, (obviously) but would like to find out if they are available in red. Would you be willing to part with the ones you have? The great Tyco earch (...) (22 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
