It's not just a refresher, but lots of the trees are brand new some are
quite new (first time used at the Legoworld 2001 meeting in
Zwolle/Netherlands). Just these days I made up the - at least in my eyes -
somewhat improved palm tree version of firs with palm trunk parts as shown in
this picture:

But my favorites among all trees are these:

I love the hard plastic tubes from the 7171 Mos Espa Pod Race sets (which have
been really cheap on sale over here). I used them for most of my newer trees
and you can bend them (just press as many as possible in a transport box) but
they are even more stable than the ones with the center string and since they
can bend, you can get more into a specific volume.
For a home layout this might be not too important, but if you drive to a train
show a few hundred kilometers away and you have limited space in your car, that
becomes really a point of importance. The whole forest + lots of the smaller
plant parts of Lego fit into just one Curver storage box.
Kind Regards,
Ben

| (...) They look a lot like some trees I posted several months ago: (URL) are a bit taller, and I use 2x2 round brown bricks as the base, but the idea is the same. Flex tubing, lots of green 'leaf' pieces, nearly instant tree! JohnG, GMLTC (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)
