Thanks for posting this, Richard.  I just checked, and I realized I've got
both types of helmets (I only have like 4 classic space guys).

You might think about scanning the bottoms of the helmets - it's really
obvious which type is which, when you look at the bottom.  The thin-chin
helmets have a perfectly circular ring base, the thick-chin helmets don't
(the front ring is thicker than the rest).

(...) I'll try this later and see if it shows up well on the black one, my other space helmets are in storage right now. BTW, you did note the extra 20% jutting out from the extra thick chinstrap helmet, right? It even has some weird transition line (...) (23 years ago, 28-Dec-01, to lugnet.build)
