Nice pics of your town.

Thanks!

I would put the complete town towards the top of the page rather than >at the bottom, though, just in case people only have time to see one or >two pics.

Good point. I'll shift things around next time I add pictures.

Also, you have some very old, classic elements in your town.  I >especially like the automatic garage door put in a house with 80s style >windows/doors - it's very nice.

It still amazes me that that garage door survived without being broken
all these years, since it got heavily played with by my generation (3
kids) and my daughter (plus friends) - and it's a pretty fragile part.

We were just discussing this old garage kit in LUGNET.GENERAL.  It is truly one of TLG's best ideas.  I have 4 of these (2 of them are fully functional), and I agree, they
are pretty fragile.  The garage door frame is especially delicate.  It was the first part that broke in my original one back in the 1960's.  The baseplate's doorpad (that
allows the door to swing open), is another delicate part.  I still have the Esso Service Signage and pumps that allow me to build the very old Esso Service Gas Station.  This
was one of the best early models that TLG ever made because it really had a Streamlined Moderne look of the 1930's (with white, red and clear macaroni bricks). This, and the
old classic windows,  is another reason why (along with 138 different parts packs available) I'll always consider the early 1960's the LEGO "golden years".
