Re: Anyone ever tried a B-17 model?

(...) Joe Davenport has done one. It can be found here: (URL) Beach Fire and Rescue: www.crosswinds.net/~hokie Bricksburg Depot: (URL) (24 years ago, 16-Dec-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Anyone ever tried a B-17 model?

(...) I only had 3 people in it. It was an odd scale, the wings wernt right, so I scrapped it and went P-38 (Which turned out nice). Rick (24 years ago, 16-Dec-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Anyone ever tried a B-17 model?

(...) Oops, I was thinking B-2 (Stealth Bomber). My mistake. You're right, for a B-17, you're better off with an MF cockpit. Kev Z (Who usually knows his aircraft ;-) ) #142 (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: model of us supreme court building??

(...) I'm surprised it didn't appear in LEGOLAND. On the Ultimate LEGO Book on pages 102-103 it shows the US Capitol out of 1.6 Million LEGO bricks, as well as the Jefferson Memorial, and the Old Post Office, now a shopping center. No US Supreme (...) (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Anyone ever tried a B-17 model?

What scale did you make it? Could you put one or two minifigs in the cockpit? jake (...) (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Anyone ever tried a B-17 model?

(...) I have tried. I tried using Diver domes and blue octagon domes for the weapon domes. No pics. It was Pre-Lugnet. Rick (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Anyone ever tried a B-17 model?

(...) Better cockpit would be the Millenium Falcon as the size may be a problem if you were to use a single seater B-Wing one. Good news is that I can now get more of the larger cockpit in the Life on Mars Starship for 2001! Actually, I'd like to (...) (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Anyone ever tried a B-17 model?

(...) I have been thinking of building one for some time. I have built an F-4 Phantom (minifig Scale). It took about 3 hours (one evening). My guess is you'll need a lot of black slopes and a B-Wing Cockpit windshield. Kev Z #142 (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.build)

Anyone ever tried a B-17 model?

Has anyone ever tried their hand at creating a LEGO B-17 in either bricks or LCAD? If so, can you pass on DAT files or photos? I am trying to convince myself a project like that is not something I have time for! :) Thanks! jake (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Tommy Gun (.45 Thompson SMG)

(...) Argh! Let him be cast out! 'cos I always thought that the point of Lego was to join it together by the studs... I've done a minifig Tommy-Gun too. Mine is a black classic space hand-held antenna/scanner/gun/whatever they were (OK, so the real (...) (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)
