  Re: Cathedral of Ice MOC

Brad Hamilton you are amazing. That is the most beautiful Lego Cathedral I have ever seen. I was just having a serious conversation with my girlfriend and I found this and we were both stunned to silence. She didn't even believe it was made with (...)   Re: Cathedral of Ice MOC

Yep - Actually, the Paradisa windows would be the most effective torture. I have a few of the corners, but none of the straight ones. As for the white round arches, at least the new 7315 (Solar explorer) has 4 of these. Now, I need the inverse (...)   Re: Cathedral of Ice MOC

Thanks Rob, I've emailed you the instructions for loading the special parts and all the .dat files. If anyone else wants them, its easy for me to re-forward this email . (...) Wow, this is incredible! I particulary like the cross on the roof with the buttresses "flowing" out from it. Thats a nice architectual touch. (...) I'm interested! Rob robo2705@hotmail.com (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Cathedral of Ice MOC

Okay, so for some people it would be toothpicks under the fingernails, for others tiny drops of water dropping on their foreheads, and for still others bright flashing lights that deprive them of sleep -- but for Brad it would be those full round (...)   Re: Cathedral of Ice MOC

Thanks for all the compliments. This one actually took several days to complete. Most of my CAD creations are done in a few hours. I guess CAD building is much faster than real building. I'm looking forward to getting access to my entire REAL (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Cathedral of Ice MOC

Ay-ya-yie, Brad! Sheesh!! I'm just speechless. As *usual*. When I was browsing the "recent" brickshelf stuff I just *knew* that had to be another one of your designs (before I checked! really! ;-), so I waited for the post to show up. ;-) Now, now, (...)   Re: Classic Contest Entries

(...) Well, I _did_ post that a month ago. In any case, it was kind of silly. It would have made a lot more sense to just post entries as replies to the original announcement. I was just blinded by my excitement over the contest and posted without (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests)

  Cathedral of Ice MOC

This is my most complex CAD structure yet. Here is an overall view: (URL) is the index to all the pictures: (URL) call it the Cathedral of Ice because the two towers look like huge icicles. (...) Okay, but I thought Todd was eventually going to organize a single post or page for this purpose? I dunno, maybe not... Anyway, here is the Acme SuperSucker 9000 in my bid for "The Ugliest, Wackiest Thing in Space." The SuperSucker 9000 weighs (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

  Re: Classic Contest Entries

(...) I sure would liked to have seen some from Todd as well. And after Larry P made that tongue-in-cheek swipe at Space, I'd like to have seen him enter a Classic Space rail set :] KDJ ___...___ LUGNETer #203, Windsor, Ontario, Canada (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

If you liked it, Tony -- my job here is done. I have your model in grey right here on the desk next to my all white, and now all black, versions of my own design.
