Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) Ditto to that! :-) Great stuff, Eric! (...) Well, we had dinner with him last week -- or someone that called himself Eric anyway and looked like the guy on his website -- so I think he's real :) but the stuff he builds is unreal! :) (...)   Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) Yes, I was there... if a little tired. I was the one who brought the pizza. I mean, physically brought the pizza, we all chipped in for it. (...) Well, that hardly counts! (...) So you say. eric (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

Actually, Eric, if you were at the NELUG meeting after the MIT Mindfest in late 1999, then you met me yourself (or were at least in the same room as I). I was lurking around in that meeting, but never really introduced myself. anyway... *I* know I (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) I'm sorry, but this court cannot accept the testimony of one Eric as to the existance or non existance of another Eric. See: (URL) It is becoming increasingly clear to me that there is only one actual Eric out there. PS, what is a seatshop? (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) I know two people who have met him in person, and verify that the person in the photographs answers to "Eric Harshbarger", but I still harbor suspicions that this person has a small contingent of either elves or seatshop workers churning these (...)   Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) I'm starting to think this "Eric Harshbarger" character is a figment of our collective imagination. Do we have any independent verification that he exists? More accurately, I confess, I'm simply unwilling to admit that he's churning out these (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) As usual, your beautiful sculptures have made me want to weep for my own lack of building stamina and ingenuity. Curse you! eric (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) As always, great models. =) Also, The 'San' sculpture is definitive proof that we LEGO buyers need 1200 piece buckets with grey, dk grey, tan, brown, and the other not-really-standard colored bricks. That's just wishful thinking on my part but (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

Awsome! Miyazaki rules! And thank God you didn't make a Sailor Moon sculpture. See the movie subtitled if you can find it. Now are you gonna build a life size Shishi Gami or Didarabocchi ?? Maybe a little white Kodama would be more relaxing after (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) WOW! Once again, you've captured the very essence of the picture you worked from. San looks fabulous! I'm constantly amazed at 3-D sculptures made from 2-D pictures. This one is particularly impressive due to the colors used. Thank goodness (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build)

  Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

Well, For those at all familiar with the Japanese Animation film MONONOKE HIME (PINCESS MONONOKE), I hope you enjoy viewing my latest sculpture. (...) Mark, here's what I want you to do. Just hop in your car, bring your building supplies, and let your wife know you are going on a short field trip.   Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

(...) You like that one?? Go figure ;o) (...) I agree it is very hard to show the whole thing with pictures. I've noticed others having the same problem. Maybe some stop motion animation would help... Bryce (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha 02 Closeups

Great pics, Bryce! I'm glad others have finally gotten to see this masterpiece in all it's glory.
