  Re: Classic Contest Entries

That is way cool, Bram. Sort of looks like you smooshed the Starfleet Voyager and the FX Star Patroller into one model. I especially like the use of the metal detectors as sensor thingies. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: SIAM-Mecha photo (Alternate 7151 Sith Infiltrator model)

Hi Ashley, That's pretty cool. It's very hard to make a mecha with the limitations of the parts from only one set, and I think you've done a good job. Lucasfilm missed out on a toy marketing opportunity. Transforming Sith Infiltrator! ;^D ~Mark (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

  Re: St. Marks Cathedral

(...) Awesome. Very, very nice. But where are the horses? I had run through some mental exercises in trying to build it, but I have to admit I always started with the horses and built outwards. That, and I tried to confine myself to parts I own or (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  Re: 2 new MOC's

(...) When I made my Z-95 (I hope I get pics up soon..) some of the sources said Mara Jade had a modified Z-95 with 3 cannons, but I think regular ones only hold 1 each. -- Andrew, Agent 0007 (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.starwars)

Re: SIAM-Mecha photo (Alternate 7151 Sith Infiltrator model)

Great Job, Ashley! I love alternate model ideas, especially mechs! it appears to be a functional model (articulation, etc) that also has quite a bit of style. Thinking of bringing it to the Nov. 4th LUGOLA Meeting in Irvine? I sincerely hope so.... (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

SIAM-Mecha photo (Alternate 7151 Sith Infiltrator model)

Here's my first attempt ever at a Mecha. The name SIAM is derived from: Sith Infiltrator Alternate Model. I have never built a mecha before so I do not know if there are specific attributes that I was supposed to model. The model features Darth Maul (...)   Re: St. Marks Cathedral

(...) Wow, Brad! You've done a really great job there. Now, how about all the different colors of marble on all those columns (in real life it looks like a marble salesman's sample book!) Here's a preliminary render of my first entry: (URL) all you LCAD sceptics...I have built this in real life, I just don't have my Coolpix 990 yet.   Cool structure database - model idea source!

Just found a very interesting structures database at (URL) is obviously just the railroad bridges part but I couldn't find a "structures type index" page, so who knows what else is there.   Re: Cruise Ship

Cool! It reminds me of the new Disney Cruise ships. I like the way you manged to get the front of the ship to slope up using regular plates. An inspiration to all boat lovers.
