(...) of (...) Dave, you are missing a link. :-) Bryce (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: LEGO Survivor Early Voting Underway!

(...) The problem is that real and fictional situations don't really compare to the Lego situation. Because the Lego world is so much better than any real or fictional world, it stands to reason that the forces of evil would necessarily have to be (...)   Re: LDRAW Office Building

(...) Why bother with tan? The top of that building would look really sharp done in black. Adam (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Re: LEGO Survivor Early Voting Underway!

(...) Youre giving Timmy way too much credit here. I'm trying to rack my brain for some analogy for the existense of Timmy in LEGO to another situation real or fictional. I CAN'T FIND ONE!! He is just that useless and horrible. I've thought about (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.people, lugnet.build, lugnet.fun, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny)

  Re: LDRAW Office Building

Thanks, I have to admit that I got that idea from someone else who used it on their trains stations. Does anyone know if LEGO actually makes those gears in tan? I know I've seen gears in odd colors on some of the throw-bots. Brad Mark Sandlin (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: LDRAW Office Building

Hi Brad. I really like the use of the Technic gears as decorative elements on the facade. Very nice. ~Mark (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

(...) I thought Timmy was a crossover from the LEGO anti-universe! :-o --Todd (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.people, lugnet.build, lugnet.fun, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny)

Re: LEGO Survivor Early Voting Underway!

(...) Now hold on a second, Timmy is an essential part of the Lego universe. Every world needs an innumerable horde of indistinguishably hideous creatures of evil against which the forces of good can struggle. Tolkien had had the orcs, Star Trek has (...)   LDRAW Office Building

This is my first attempt to build LEGO on the computer. (URL) used POV-Ray to render the model. LMKWYT Brad (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town) !

Re: LEGO Survivor Early Voting Underway!

(...) 9 times out of 10 (or, more recently, probably 19 times out of 20), I just go with what people vote for. There were some really obvious ballot stuffing attempts a few weeks ago which caused one site to go backwards, but it's not quite correct (...)   Re: LEGO Survivor Early Voting Underway!

(...) If we factor out the fact that minifigs and the rest of them are basically plastic (reality check time here...) and can't *really* decide anything at all, it really boils down to your whim. That's fine. After all. that's what CLSotW is, Todd's (...) (24 years ago, 15-Oct-00, to lugnet.people, lugnet.build, lugnet.fun, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny)

Re: S@H exclusive minifigure has been shipped! (#3723)

(...) Thanks for the compliments, Todd. I'd like to emphasize the point that my Knight Mega-Fig was 16x scale, whereas I believe the LEGO Mega-Fig is 12x scale. (24 years ago, 15-Oct-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) That reminds me -- anyone who hasn't seen photos of Eric Harshbarger's minifig LEGO knight that he built for/at MindFest[tm] last year should check this out: (URL) saw this in person during its development and -- dang! -- if TLC would release (...)   Re: LEGO Survivor Early Voting Underway!

(...) Even though I don't think I could ever do harm to any LEGO piece; if forced I would choose Timmy's head. I'm really trying to think of a creative way to destroy Timmy's head short of melting it. It's really hard to destroy ABS minifig heads. (...)   Re: New name needed for new ship.

For no particular reason the name "AntiVenom" came to mind. It has no real relation to the ship, but it does kind of look like a syringe(sp?);) Post Scriptum: If you can't get to the ship's link try "copy and past"ing. Nathan Falslev (...) (24 years ago, 15-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
