  Re: Big Blue Gundam

Hey Mark, Your "Colossus" is 23 inchs tall, wow, now I'm even more impressed. Anyways I can't really judge height in the Imperial system well, I grew up using the Metric system. (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

(...) Thanks. (...) It's actually 3 at the hip and 2 at the shoulder. (...) Yes. I wouldn't make one that wasn't. (...) Of course. And with plenty of turn out. The knees have only two "locked" positions though because of the weight. (...) 22"-24"? (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Big Blue Gundam

(...) Thank you. I am blushing. BTW I think both Mark's and my mech are already about 2 feet. Check the picture with the minifig for comparison. And lastly I will always go to your site. Bryce McGlone (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

(...) <snip> (...) Yeah, the harpoon guns are nice, I hadn't thought of using those. I like the way you used two Throwbots joints at the hip. It seems to work pretty well... is it relatively stable? Stands up ok? How tall is it? Those sure are some (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: Hardest Part Building a Mecha?

I've found Colin Gutierrez's page to be of great value in building hip joints. (URL) I think the head is the most difficult. I like making mine different every time, so it's hard to do without making something that either looks like one of mine or (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New pics and website design

OK, I just put a bunch of my creations up on brickshelf and on my web page. I'd like to know what people think of them. Some of them are from the lego robotics class I took a few years ago at school. Some of the stuff is newer than others. I'm also (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Moonbase! Need Help!

(...) I think a Mars base would be mostly underground too, as you wouldn't get much protection from radiation with Mars' thin atmosphere. At least, when I get enough free time to build my Mars base, it will be either mostly underground, or built (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Hardest Part Building a Mecha?

What's your hardest part of building a mecha? To me, I would have to say the arms. -- Andrew, Agent 0007 (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Moonbase! Need Help!

(...) That's pretty much what I would do, too. Although one problem is that a lot (most?) of the structure of a *Lunar* base would be underground: a Mars base might be easier, since I would expect most of it to be on the surface.
