I've found Colin Gutierrez's page to be of great value in building hip joints. (URL) I think the head is the most difficult. I like making mine different every time, so it's hard to do without making something that either looks like one of mine or (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Although one problem is that a lot (most?) of the structure of a *Lunar* base would be underground: a Mars base might be easier, since I would expect most of it to be on the surface.
