  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

It is always great to see new models by you Karim. You know, I think it was you and Ben Vaughn who got me back into Lego building about 1.5 years ago. I remember feeling very inspired by your earlier work. Your line of microfig scale capital ships (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

Mine are very tightly packed by using 8 1x2 plates with handle, and 2 1x1 plate clip lights. BTW I downloaded the .dat files for the Scarab and Panther, very nice! I also see that the Panther uses a similar ankle, and shin joints like my Neroid, (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

(...) vertically. (...) Yeah :) I wanted to find a way to pack them more densely, but couldn't figure it out in the limited space I had there. Over all, I'm pretty happy with the way the Scarab worked out though. I look forward to seeing your (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

(...) You know, I actually built that gun 2 years ago... It was on the mecha I called the Gargoyle, which I never finished. I have since taken the gargoyle apart, but kept three of its guns assembled, hoping to find a use for them. I've now used (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

(...) Thanks! :) I was waiting for someone to pick those out... now if only they actually came in black... (...) Very very painfully, by hand in LEdit. Thanks :) The pics don't show it, but in the real model, the body opens up in three parts (left (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

Re: Can you a 5' credit card for me?

(...) Actually, LEGO Direct doesn't actually sell anything. LEGO Direct is TLC's "consumer-facing entity" online and offline. LEGO Shop At Home is the business that sells the bricks. (...) I think LEGO Direct may actually be more worldwide (at least (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.build, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Calling all furniture!

(...) Well, a while ago, I made some stuff, like beds and halogen lamps. just follow this thread: (URL) also made a house with a bunch of furniture inside: (URL) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

(...) *whew* finally! I can stop hitting your page 100 times a day looking for updates! :-, (...) I love that passenger ship! Total luxury! :-, The Magellan looks pretty cool, too. (Good use of flower pieces, btw!) Panther is awesome. Great editing (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

Re: More outpourings from my little brain

(...) Huh. I always got a grainy, black & white impression from Bram's photocopier. But I'm using last year's model... ;-) To clarify: the spinning wheel Heather just published is a work of art, just like Bram's photocopier is a work of art. Both (...)   Re: More outpourings from my little brain

(...) So, you say that Bram's photocopier gives you a good impression of a spinning wheel? I always got a good impression of a photocopier from it... Greg "Gotta love that muddy brown mush!" Majewski (URL) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

I love the chain gun on your new mecha. I was watching Gundam Wing the other day, and I was thinking "Why not make a chain gun like HeavyArms?" Looks like you beat me to it. ;^) I love the use of parts to make the curved bow on the spaceliner too. (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

  Calling all furniture!

Hi folks, One of my slated Lego projects is to build a furniture store - basically an idea list for different types and styles of minifig- scale furniture and accessories for filling out houses, castles, office buildings, spaceships, etc. To that (...) (...) spinning wheel is by far my favorite. Like Bram's photocopier, it captures the "feel" of a spinning wheel, in a minifig-scale package. I am impressed. :-, (...) Go, little brain, go! :-, Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

Wow! Amazing as usual! I see on the back of your Scarab Field Unit, it has those flags set vertically. Can you believe I did the same thing yesterday while building my own mecha (except its bi-pedal), mine uses 8 of them and they are heat sinks. (...)   Re: TV

(...) First of all, what size do you want to build it? Minifig scale? lifesize? some other scale? For a minifig scale TV, I usually just use a black 1x2 brick, put a small control stick on for an antenna, and maybe some kind of sticker on one side (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

Great work, Karim! I always enjoy seeing your new models; I particularly like the passenger liner; you've really captured the essence of a luxury cruiser there. The engineering vessel is a fine piece of work, too. I must say that my all-time (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish, lugnet.space)

  pop-up camper

Hi everyone, Has anyone ever built a working pop-up camper out of LEGO? I'm interested in building one, but I'd like to get some ideas and opinions on how to build one. I know it is difficult to build realistic ends that actually compact and slide (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)
