  Re: Mecha Legs

i'd have to agree with mladen on this one- the whole point of lego is creativity. i'd take the same approach i do with TLC models- build a copy first to familiarize yourself with any new pieces and their useage, then proceed to invent your own uses.   Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update!

Mark- one word: STOKED! i've always dug your stuff (the Maddog especially), but the VTOL Dropship is magnificent- all the things i personally strive for in building- clean, detailed but not overly "tekkie", functional, structural, and the (...)   Re: Mecha Legs

I would reconsider if he was the only person to ask me, but I get 10 e-mails each day from people asking me how they love my designs and want to use them in their own. Most of the messages I reply to with a yes, but this time no, this is my model, (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.underground)

  Re: Got Mech?

thanks! i was going for the whole "docking bay" look- note the "markings on walls and floor- hopefully i'll have my site going pretty soon, with in-depth info on all the mechs, some spacecraft, some dioramas, the whole shpeel. it's too bad the pic (...)   Re: Got Mech?

(...) Very slick. Nice legs. (I mean the mecha, not you! :-) Actually, the whole model is great. The gantry is a nice touch. :-, BTW -- great background, too. The texture really adds to the atmosphere of the pictures. Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha Legs

(...) Mladen, please reconsider. One of the best ways for our models to improve is to promote cross-pollenation of ideas. As long as credit to you is duely given, can you see any possible disadvantage to letting others use your ideas? Cheers, - (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.underground)

  Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update!

(...) Wow, I like those engines. The iris-throttle-thingy...rrangement (not sure what it's called) looks great! I like the tilting canopy; I actually played with that idea too! :-, Is there any chance of seeing an above corner shot with the jets (...)   Re: Building the A10 Thunderbolt "Warthog"

(...) Ouch. ;-) 'Course, if it went off at that moment, they'd never find my head, or even my torso, for that matter. (...) We're still unpacking from the move, but I'll try to find it and give you an exact reference. I could even throw a photocopy (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: Building the A10 Thunderbolt "Warthog"

Hi, Terry! Long time, no see! (...) I saw a video documentary where a large chunk of the leading edge of an A-10 wing ripped off during flight, and dropped straight through the engine. This would've killed any other aircraft, but the pilot was able (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Mark's Lego Creations Update!

Hi Everyone! Yeah, I know it's two updates in a week. That's not as much because of me building like a superfreak (ok well, maybe a little) but because my camera batteries died on me after shooting the Spaceplane, so I couldn't finish my pics. So, (...)
