Re: Building the A10 Thunderbolt "Warthog"

(...) That makes sense -- or training planes are gray. Well did you get a chance to see the Lego SEAL Team yet? - Marc (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: Introducing Lego SEAL Team 9

(...) Some of those rifles are really cool - and Lego suffers horribly when it comes to realistic modern combat rifles. Question.... Are the 1x1x1 plates on each SEAL's head supposed to be berets? ~You should know who I am by now ;) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Building the A10 Thunderbolt "Warthog"

(...) Ah..... just the prototypes, and the pre-production models - A-10's that have seen some USAF service are almost always in a camoflauge of some sort. ~Drew "Luke" Lawrence ~Another Lego Military Fan (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: Building the A10 Thunderbolt "Warthog"

(...) True, but many a-10 are gray. Example: (URL) facts there also. I like the rotating 2x2 pieces with 1x1 cylinders for the gatlin gun. 4 technic axels with small cap pieces might look good too. Like this (but closer) : (URL) if you're bored (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Most hated Minifig?

(...) I just have 'em in my closet. Actually, a skeleton minifig looks great propped up inside a car, or maybe hanging half out the window, arms dangling... Very gruesome and dead town-ish.   Re: Mecha Legs

(...) off; I'm sure you could handle it, Mladen. ;-) And you could use Znap for the ribs of the wings...that would look sweet! -Chris (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha Legs

(...) Right! I see that a dragon could very easily arise from the start you have going, Mladen. It would be cool to see a mech with a tail, long neck, and fangs paired with those legs! Greg "Ch-ch-ch-chia!" Majewski (URL) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha Legs

(...) Those feet are sweet, but it seems that the far toes would have trouble reaching the ground without some extra ankle work. Any thoughts about what'll go abouve the hips? This design practically begs for something animalistic. Cheers, - jsproat (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Images of Civilian Space Freighter

(URL) I love that picture. here's a few captions for it: A) Endurance test! : ) [1] B) Zoom! Excellent work, Bob. It looks very smooth, in terms of the hull. I like it! Scott S. 1) I used to throw LEGO creations, during play or when I was bored, to (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: My Capital Ships! AT LONG LAST!!!!

(...) I seem to recall the pot having this same conversation with the kettle. Drew, I wasn't going to comment on your Harrier, and I especially wasn't going to say that it doesn't look "cool", but hey, I'm having a less-than-glorious day. Here's my (...)   Re: *Sorry* 10 Starship Designs - An Here's the Link *Sorry*

(...) Some Q's: How'd you get that round spine effect on the heavy threat vessel? What do the little lever bases represent? (I have an idea... :-) Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Site Update - 3 Micro-Fig Models

(...) Maybe this isn't what you were aiming for, but if you look at it from certain angles, it looks like there are about 5 to 8 different cyliners all pointing forward along the length of the craft. You see this kind of design in all kinds of (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Re: Site Update - 3 Micro-Fig Models

Thanks a lot, Sproaticus! Just one question, what do you mean rows-of-cylinders trick? BTW the LZ-70 was inspired by your Candiru (the legs), although you can't really see the resemblence, hmm... maybe if you squint your eyes, nope... oh well... But (...) (...) of the movie, with something of a Star Trek flavor. I like 'em. How'd you get those starfield backgrounds? I always have trouble with the nebulae. Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Micro-fig scale Medical Ship

Thanks for the kind words everyone. This was my first attempt at building a ship from the inside out similar to what Ken Takeuchi has done on some of his ships. The ship is also the first that I have done that is not gray or black. The ship really (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

I thought I replied to this already, but I can't find the message. If I did...huh. :-, (...) the design. And the rows-of-cylinders trick is pretty effective too... Muah-ha-ha-ha-ha! ...whoops...
