Re: Herding Sheep Over a Minefield...

Well you know what they say...there's a black sheep in every bunch. (16 years ago, 7-Aug-08, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Herding Sheep Over a Minefield...

Yeah, I'm kind of in an odd mood - this is the second creation, a vignette this time, in what I've decided to call my "Animals At War" series - a pathetic attempt to give credibility to a sick subject. So here we see some sheep being herded across a (...) (16 years ago, 6-Aug-08, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.announce, FTX)

  Soviet MineDog.

Yeah, this is kind of sick, but it's based on real events. Don't ask me how because I can't remember but the topic of Mine Dogs came up in a recent chat session, and my befuddled mind decided to build one. In WWII The Soviets trained half-starved (...)   Re: Minifig scale?

(...) Apologies for the self-response. I realised my original image was in error (ahhh irony) and changed it on flickr. Unfortunately this means the link is now wrong so I include the correct one below. (URL) Tim (16 years ago, 5-Aug-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Military MOCs

Thanks for sharing. Great MOCs. (16 years ago, 4-Aug-08, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Military MOCs

(...) I really like that boat. The pop-out weapon systems are impressive and look like a lot of fun, too. Jim (16 years ago, 4-Aug-08, to lugnet.build.military)

  Military MOCs

Hi all, I haven't posted my MOCs to Lugnet in a while. My newest military vehicle is the Griffin heavy lift helicopter: (URL) has motorized rotors and interior lights, retracting landing gear, a side door, a rear ramp, and side guns for defense. It (...)   Re: 5866 Piece Helicopter

(...) WOW that is amazing! Did you buy it through LDD or just use the cad function & piece counting abilities? Great form & colors! Jeff (16 years ago, 1-Aug-08, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Minifig scale?

(...) My thoughts exactly. The problem with the minifig-scale question, is that the minifig is not scaled to a human, nor is the rest of his world, as presented by LEGO, scaled to human things. His/her cars are to small, tools are too big, houses (...) (16 years ago, 30-Jul-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Superscooper!

(...) Great work, Samarth! It's always pleasing to see rowboats put to a good use. Spotlighted. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Richie Dulin CO Legeaux (16 years ago, 29-Jul-08, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

I would like to announce my site and gallery, new building techniques, and upcoming show. Finally built my site and it's up and running.   NMRA 2008 report

As no one else has posted as of yet, here's a brief report on the NMRA's 2008 National Train Show held earlier this month: Location: Hall D, Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California Dates: Exhibition July 18-20, 2008 Space allocation: 65 x 70 (...)   Superscooper!

It's been a few years since I posted anything of note here on LUGNET, so it feels good to be back. I saw one of these on TV and the idea of a plane that could scoop up water and dump it on a wildfire kind of appealed to me. So did the idea of using (...)   Re: Minifig scale?

(...) Yes. I tend to think of 'minifig scale' as anything built to fit minifigs, rather than an exact ratio. It's all an approximation with lego. (16 years ago, 28-Jul-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Mona Lisa

(...) Jason, Using MS Paint, I made and saved about 140 drawings of circles of various colors atop squares of various colors. I omitted combinations where the pieces were rare (1 x 1 orange plates, 1 x 1 round green plates, etc. ) After I saved all (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Re: Minifig scale?

(...) Thanks for the vote of confidence. I do try to keep my inner pedant under control as much as possible ;) But in this specific case I think pedant is quite applicable. Tim (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)
