  The Beetle and the Lion

I’ve built two more armored vehicles, the Beetle armored recovery vehicle and the Lion self-propelled artillery gun: The CBU Beetle is an Armored Combat Engineer Vehicle. It is used to repair damaged armored vehicles in the field or, if need by, tow (...) (17 years ago, 19-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.technic, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Stonehenge and Chichen Itza

These were built for the upcoming March 2008 "Around the World in 80 Days" themed TexLUG display. I think I did a pretty decent job, considering I'm working with inventory scraps and leftovers.   Re: Roof question

(...) I have tried 2 workarounds for the lack of such a piece: 1. Fill in the valley where such piece would go with one 1x3 slope plus 1x1 plates and tiles to approximate. (I like Tim's mention of the new 1x1 slopes here). Result: not too great. 2. (...) (17 years ago, 17-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

Re: AMCP and Mecha at BrickFair

Hi Magnus, that sounds like a wonderful plan. I think the AMCP is a fun project and I hope this year you have great display. Kudos to the builders, and the Mechahub for helping to bring this all about. Glad to see the folks who build town help out (...) (17 years ago, 17-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  AMCP and Mecha at BrickFair

Hi all Mecha builders, I have been asked to organize a Apocalyptic Mecha City Project (AMCP) display for BrickFair in Northern Virginia this summer. As a military builder and having participated in the hugely succesful AMCP at BrickWorld last year, (...)   Indiana Jones Lego Store Display

Since it's very unlikely that the tank would be done for the Indiana Jones sets, I tried to do my version of it based from pics that I found in the book From Star Wars To Indiana Jones. Now it's on display in the LEGO store at Bridgewater Mall in (...) (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

  Re: Roof question

(...) And my apologies for responding to myself but... aren't you somewhat of an expert of multi-layered, multi-hinged shapes? You could probably do something really neat by hiding a multi-angled shell under plates stuck on studs up (or even with (...) (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

  Re: Roof question

(...) Angling some wing plates is the only solution I'm aware of and it's not that great IMO. Basically it's a nasty problem. You may be able to try something tricky with 1x1 slopes too. Tim (17 years ago, 16-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)
