  Ideas: Sphere/Landing Gear

I just wanted to post an idea (well, two) I had for landing gear/legs for something, and a sphere design, all in one. Not meant to be anything, just conserving space for picture taking purposes. Nothing fancy, but regardless: (URL) on. -Bruce LEGO @ (...) (17 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars) !

  QANTAS Avro 504K

(5 URLs) BS> (when modded) (URL) Flickr> Well as promised I stole massively 1 from Christian's masterful Hawker Dankok and came up with the Avro I'd been trying for so long.   Re: Hawker Dankok

(...) Christian, This is very nice, it's hard to capture the look of a biplane, with the rotary engine and spindly struts, but you've done it. Thanks, George (17 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Boiler idea

(...) Nice, also good for tank cars instead of the 2x2 rounded slope piece assuming you can get enough longitudinal strength. Chris (17 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: Hawker Dankok

(...) Thank you! Feel free to borrow any ideas. Teaser: If you like this I bet you will love one of those I am working on now! Christian (17 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Hawker Dankok

(...) Thank you! Please feel free to copy any method. Is that an Avro 504? Christian (17 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Hawker Dankok

The 3 wide and tapered tail really capture the style perfectly. Also i am a massive fan of that era of planes, and may borrow some of your technics :) (i went nuts on adventures the moment it came out, so much good stuff) Had a look at the other (...)   Re: Hawker Dankok

(...) That is jolly nice old chap. Excellent compact design. I'm going to be using this for fodder when I finally get around to building an Avro. Tim (17 years ago, 2-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Hawker Dankok

Hawker Dankok (2 URLs) Hawker Dankok The Dankok single seat fighter was used by the Danish Navy in the late twenties and early thirties.   Neo Classic Space Freighter and Mobile Lab

Let's see if I actually remember how to post in this forum.... (2 URLs) This was in WIP status for ages. It's been completed for several weeks now, but I finally got outside with the camera. And yes, I'd love to have only the new style containers (...) (17 years ago, 2-Apr-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Boiler idea

(...) I had a tough time playing around with this circular schleim idea about a year ago. I had been trying to "fill in" a 1-stud-wide version of this so that I could get a circle that was roughly 6-wide (decoration on the side of a Millyard (...)   Re: Boiler idea

(...) Yeah, I guess your right, I think there is another flaw in my thinking as well but without brick in front of me I can't say for sure. I like your design! -Eric (17 years ago, 2-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: Boiler idea

(...) Hi Eric, That means you can't line them up. My first design used that brick. Tim (17 years ago, 2-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: Boiler idea

(...) Tim, How about using 1x1 with studs on 4 sides in the corners and 1x1 headlight bricks on one side (stud of 1x1 with 4 studs to the back of headlight brick) for connecting the plate with tiles.. You would have to alter a few connections when (...) (17 years ago, 2-Apr-07, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Boiler idea

Hi all, Just playing around with a boiler concept. You could replace the headlight bricks by 1x1 technic bricks with plates to join the four segments but I kind of liked the look of the segments done this way ;) (2 URLs) MPD> Couple more pics in my (...)   Studs Up Studs Down

Always had to choose between studs up or studs down in building a roof structure. Studs down mostly if interior shots were to be taken and studs up if exterior shots were more important.   Re: 5-wide containers

(...) Why not just use plates with eyes ((URL) If you jumper offset them and invert the lower one it can be quite compact. Tim (18 years ago, 29-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.schleim)
