New MOC: British Class 37 diesel loco with articulated bogies

Here's my latest 8mm scale train MOC, a British Class 37 diesel loco in railfreight grey livery with red stripe, as carried by 37674 and others in 1988. (URL) The model has opening doors and removable roof sections, for closing the doors and putting (...)   Re: Four new vignettes

Hi, Bruce. Nice work. Love the difference in facial expressions between the people with money-in-hand, waiting to get their fix and the one guy who's been served. And it seems like such an obvious detail, but I don't think I've ever seen the old (...) (19 years ago, 2-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Castaway

(...) No, Joe! That's not a dog, it's THE GRIM. Run, Joe. Run for your life! (19 years ago, 2-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: MOAB

(...) Thanks for the comments, Mark. The calves are actually as thick as they possibly can be while allowing enough clearance on the front (above the foot) and in the back (retracting up to the thigh) so the MOAB can squat down low enough to fit in (...)   Joe Vig Contest Entry - Castaway

Shipwrecked and drifting for days on a bit of flotsam, Joe Vig finally finds a bit of dry land. And oh look, is that a friendly dog to be his loyal companion? (URL) See the (URL) BrickShelf folder> (after moderation) for two other views. Enjoy, – (...) (19 years ago, 2-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Blips

(...) look to be shorter than a minifig, yet are much more interesting than robots like R2-D2 in the Star Wars sets, that are not much more than a block of plastic with legs. ;-) I love the light on top and all the different appendages. Jeff (19 years ago, 1-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Ursine cub II

(...) Now I got ya.. I was thinking you were referring to some obscure anime I might have seen in the distant past! I had a friend help me with the original 3 Ursine Cubs which were made out of 2 recon mechs and 1 red planet protector, and mama bear (...) (19 years ago, 1-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: "Bushwhacker" Tank Mecha

(...) blush (...) Thank you Mark! Yes, I'm trying to get a lot more detail packed into my models. Of course, with guys like you and Soren, among others, I'm learning fast. :-) (...) Yeah, originally they were supposed to fold back 180 degrees into a (...) (19 years ago, 1-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

North Central Positronics Ltd.... Presents Andy

Hey all, This scene is a bit of a spoiler so if you plan to read the books you might wish to skip it... Threw together a third Dark Tower vignette tonight.   Wolves of the Calla

Hello all, Threw together another Dark Tower vignette. This one is from Book 5: Wolves of the Calla. Not much too this one, as the horse and wheel chair take up a lot of space. Anyhow, to explain the scene a bit: Susannah Dean, armed with her (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.western, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: A New Vig: "Over The Edge"

Hey Nate, Great vig! I like the way you gave both the car and the outhouse motion, especially. Nice half-scale car, btw. Also a clever way to attach the plant pieces so they look like roots or something. Bruce (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Ursine cub II

(...) Hmm... LOM... sounds vaguely familiar, but no, I don't think so. (...) Don't have to score it, Mark, I have Mech 2, GBL, and Mercs. I even have them in the coveted 3dfx format! LOL Thanks again, Jon (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Blips

(...) Ah yes, the stories. Plenty of those lying around, Steve. Blips are minifig scale, kind of a general purpose messenger/security unit. They talk in machine code. Some of them have outrageous weapon upgrades, which ought to unbalance them, but (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
