  Re: Chess Vignettes

(...) Ok, I thought the King and his companion were in their starting possitions...and It´s to often the King die without being moved. Nice combination with a great game and Lego. /Andréas Rootzén (19 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: My first Vig! Willy Wonka

Hey Bill, I love the hat/hair combo. Legofreak did (URL) something similar> in the CCCII contest. The mushroom and candy are good too, but my favorite detail is the use of brown clips as chocolate covered hands. Very cool vig. Bruce (19 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: All Kinds of Structures (A.K.o.S.)

(...) I'll try my best! :-) BTW, You must show me what you built ;-) (...) Correct. Originally, I was going to leave a 2 stud setback on all four sides, but I decided that a firewall did not need to be 2 studs thick. One goal of this method is to (...)   Re: Three buildings (A.K.o.S. )

(...) Cool. More buildings shows the flexibility of the system. I guess my biggest concern with it is that the interior arrangements are visible through the windows. I've been urging my local club members to work on more interior detailing so that (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: All Kinds of Structures (A.K.o.S.)

Hi, I tried to build one of these and had some difficulties. Maybe you can clarify them for me. It seems that the idea is not to leave 2 studs on every side, but only on the sides that are going to have facades. If I understand the AKOS system, the (...)   Re: All Kinds of Structures (A.K.o.S.)

I've build two more A.K.o.S. buildings this weekend just to see if this concept would actually work in reality. I think they don't look that bad. (URL) Akos Kostyan LEGO Ambassador akos@malug.hu (19 years ago, 19-Jun-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: My first Vig! Willy Wonka

(...) Thanks, I had alot of fun building it. Now I am looking at alot of things through the vignette eye. They're pretty cool, cause it is something you can build pretty quickly, and still put a lot of thought and character into. Not the long drawn (...)   The Classic-Space.com Concept Collection

The last time I mentioned my inspirational concept art collection here on LUGNET, it was on a different server, a different URL, and much smaller, so I feel it appropriate to mention it again.   Re: My first Vig! Willy Wonka

(...) I absolutely love it, and as a fan of Tim Burton I am also really looking forward to the movie. Modifying the lego for the hair was a good call because Willy Wonker would not have looked so effective without either the hat or the hair. I (...)   My first Vig! Willy Wonka

Hey everybody! I have seen all the cool vignettes everybody has come up with so I decided to try my hand at a building one! I figured with the new film coming out and the cool lolipops from the Harry Potter Shreiking Shack set, a Willy Wonka and the (...)   Re: Fishing for Driver's Licence

(...) Like it? Its fantastic! There are little detail elements in this scene which I am going to have to unabashedly copy - with your permission of course. I have an entire micro-town, but lifeless. No people, no cars or other vehicles. Now, I can (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: All Kinds of Structures (A.K.o.S.)

Very interesting! I can see how this would help with emergency cover for show layouts... Personally I would still be concentrating on 'whole' MOCs but if you needed a quick background this would be great. Thanks and God Bless, Nathan (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: MOAB

(...) Glad I was able to inspire. :-) (...) Get out! First time to do arms, hands, and head? I could have sworn some of your other mecha had them. Anyways, for "firsts" your mecha look quite good. Better than good. In particular the red mecha (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Chess Vignettes

(...) Thanks, I've loved those ever since the first time I saw one in person when I traveled in Europe after college. It was fun to play around with different piece designs at that scale. Bruce (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Fishing for Driver's Licence

(...) Sorry Michael, it was only after I posted that I realised that you are from Germany, and also made the connection that I have already enjoyed some of your other microscaled MOCs. You do very nice details. Janey Red Brick (19 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)
