  Re: Checkers vignette

(...) Oh yes, I meant to point that out. I intentionally cut the board size/complexity in half, for a couple of reasons (beyond the obvious one of 1x1 plates being a bit too big for minifig-scale checkers!). First, it seems to me that objects in (...) (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Checkers vignette

(...) Kind of a small board/simple game they have going on! (...) Xposted to .town because this fits INTO a town scene. Which is a cool idea! I like the idea of vignettes that also go somewhere else... almost as much as I like composite vignettes (...) (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Micro (or mini?) Sears Tower

All right, so I know I'm not the first... but my son is a big fan of the Sears Tower, and we had to build one. We can't afford to make it minifig scale (even within the usually loose interpretation of that), so it's more like mini or micro scale. (...)   Checkers vignette

Here's a little vignette I made for the park in the LEGO town my son and I like to play in. It's just a couple of old guys playing checkers.   Re: Track and Field vignettes

Bruce - I love the use of two flags to represent a tearing ribbon! It adds a tremendous dynamism what otherwise could be a static looking scene. Brilliant! -Rob A> (...) (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: Mecha at Brickfest 2005!

(...) No, the room is not for "all things anime," only for mecha and related items. In other words, support vehicles, transports, hangars, weaponry, etc. If it has no relation to mecha, it should be in another room, be it space, town, or whatever. (...)   Re: ISCC entry by Michael Jasper

(...) I recall seeing this when it was first put up on 1000steine. I loved the idea; I just wish I could see a properly translated version instead of one in mangled English the way Babelfish and Google do. Legoswami (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.trains, FTX)
