I am going to do a team! Yes.. for real.. (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Joe versus the Volcano Vignette

(...) Roger that. I think this movie is destined to be a classic. It's not a grand movie, as you say, but it's great. It makes fun of cliches in a cool way, there are some great bits, and Meg plays a lot of parts. Tom and Meg just have some sort of (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Black Diamond

(...) Certainly not till I get stateside! Plus I've never been one to get in on fads. (...) THAT slope is a double diamond. A diamond isn't QUITE that clifflike! (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Black Diamond

(...) Thanks, Rev. I was happy with how that turned out. The guy at the top was a much bigger struggle. At first I tried to put his pole vertically in the hollow stud at the top of the 75degree slope, but to hold that he ended up hanging in space (...)   Re: Black Diamond

(...) Yep. When are we going to see one from you? :) (...) Hmm, I never got beyond the fluffy bunny slopes, myself, so I don't know what distinguishes them. I'm not sure exactly how I'd make a double diamond in my space restrictions, though. Bruce (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Black Diamond

(...) You should. It's the (URL) most useful vignette face>. Thanks for the kind words. Bruce (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Black Diamond

Excellent sculpting, Bruce. I recognize that face at the top. I like the way you've used height. Peace and steep drops, Professor Whateverly (URL) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Thanks Allister! Those parts come in the new Toa Hordika sets. The bummer though is that there is only one per!! Yikes! It's basically the head piece. The mask attaches to it. Jeff (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Vigs by Moko

Thanks for pointing these out Bruce. They're all good or great, but this one really stands out for me: (URL) The water surface is simple, brilliant and totally effective. Peace and surface tension, Professor Whateverly (URL) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: A few new Vignettes!

(...) Well done making the point, but even more well done on the vigs themselves. I smack my head at the round one. IWITOT(1) Peace and circularity, Professor Whateverly (URL) (1) I Wish I'd Thought Of That (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Good night... and may your god go with you

(...) Classy. Thanks for posting. And thanks to my local PBS station for bringing the show to us in the US in the late '70s. For those who wonder what this is about, Google on "Dave Allen at Large." Rick C. (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version

The double ball joints are very cleaver and the level of articulation is impressive. I had spent some time messing with the things awhile back and gave up due to lack of stiffness -- clearly you solved that problem. Brent (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Solid, as always. Love the use of the Toa Metru head piece as just... a head. Very menacing. Hope it's not in any contest I'm part of, or I just lost! Great use of the Pakari as chest pieces, too. Are those silver? Hard to tell with the (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Joe versus the Volcano Vignette

Hey Terry, Welcome to vignette-ville! I especially like the lamp in the office, and the edging along the baseboards. The Joe vs. Volcano one is nice, but I think you need to re-take some of the photos as they are fairly blurry. I especially like (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Joe versus the Volcano Vignette

Hello Vignettes fans! I finally decided to take pictures of my first vignette, which was actually a test to see if I liked making these small wonders.   Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Very nicely sculpted. What piece are the fingers made of? I never new that part existed, but now I've seen it I NEED to get some. By golly they'll be useful. Cheers, Allister (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Hey all, Moko doesn't (AFAIK) post on Lugnet, but his (URL) vignettes> really should not be missed. Here are his most recent: (4 URLs) and I'm cross-posting to .disney because of this one: (URL) Bruce (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.disney, FTX)
