Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) Huh, I don't think I've heard of minifig scale being more than 1:44 (making "standard" minifigs just over 6 feet tall). Except maybe for specific projects? 1:45 would make them about 6'2.4" (1.89m) tall, 2'3.5" (72cm) wide, and 1'2.2" (36cm) (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Hello everybody

(...) Welcome to .mecha! (...) I can see the influences in Primech. And no weapons even, *agasp* what is this, .mecha becoming a hippy colony? Nah, not with people like Mladen and Soren to keep the aromory quotent up. (...) Marco, great 22nd mech. (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Archangel Preview

(...) Preview? I saw (URL) this> marked as "final" and added your post to the sidebar. (...) Not too shabby Ryan. Pretty blocky, shoulders, hip armor, and lower legs (with rounded corners though) all seem really sqare. I'll give you credit though, (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: MH Zephyr

(...) That's really nice. I particularly like the feet and hands. Can we see a close-up of one of those hands? -- Dan Efran (20 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Statues

Very cool statues, JoJo. Now are you planning a temple to put them in? (20 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  Re: Bricksaic version 0.1.0

(...) Yes, I have some problems I would like added ;] This program is great! I especially like some of the cool effects you can get with the "Nearest colour" dither. My suggestion would be to allow the user to zoom out (for those of us planning (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) That was from LEGOWorld, October 2003 in Holland. It was an automated car assembly line, consisting of RCX controlled work carriers that travelled from cell to cell across a number of cells. Each cell had a selection of parts that it added in (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

Nathanial Kuipers- Very nice crane! Did you build it out of one or two sets of 8436? (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Some G.I.Joe minifig customs

Hi Norbert, I went through all of these when they came up on Brickshelf and they're really great work. I think the most impressive details are the braided hair on some of the anime figs, but all of the paint and customized head/headwear jobs are (...) Hello Nathanael, You are really an incredible builder! Everything here is outstanding: functionnality, design, quality of photography... I'd like to know how much time you spent on this wonder. I guess it would take me much more time simply trying (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Some G.I.Joe minifig customs

Hello to one and all I thought that there might be some interest in the images of my customized minifigures now up on Brickshelf. Over the holidays, I was very busy with a friend's scanner, getting "record shots" of the majority of my custom work. (...)   Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) I always accord minifigs 1:35 scale, possibly 1:32, because those are the closest "standard military" scales. But also, I go by the average of the minifigs' dimensions, which sort of implies they are 5' tall and very, very broad. So I am (...)   Oh, wow. Wowowow. (was: Re: Project YAMATO)

(...) Jumpei, That is beautiful. Truly a thing of utter beauty. I am currently planning out a true-minifig-scale model of the battleship Fuso ca. 1944, though I am going closer to 1:35 scale given that minifigs are not truly to human propor- tions. (...)   Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

how do you do that? ???...??? With pieces from ONE set? I always run out of pieces or need another one of that piece (etc.). Yours look like they all belong there. Lego would have sold a lot more sets if this was the model I think. Steve (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) Oh wow... Great model, and great photography! I'm totally amazed at people who can build in Technic, and it's even more impressive that you only used parts from 8436! Looks like an official model. Instructions? :) -Bryan (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) You really have quite a wide range of talent. Not only do you do good sports cars, but you have done robots, boats, people, trucks- all out of Lego kits. Maybe now you can start building construction vehicles. I assume you did not use a winch (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)
