  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

Nathanial Kuipers- Very nice crane! Did you build it out of one or two sets of 8436? (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Some G.I.Joe minifig customs

Hi Norbert, I went through all of these when they came up on Brickshelf and they're really great work. I think the most impressive details are the braided hair on some of the anime figs, but all of the paint and customized head/headwear jobs are (...)   Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

Hello Nathanael, You are really an incredible builder! Everything here is outstanding: functionnality, design, quality of photography... I'd like to know how much time you spent on this wonder. I guess it would take me much more time simply trying (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Some G.I.Joe minifig customs

Hello to one and all I thought that there might be some interest in the images of my customized minifigures now up on Brickshelf. Over the holidays, I was very busy with a friend's scanner, getting "record shots" of the majority of my custom work. (...)   Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) I always accord minifigs 1:35 scale, possibly 1:32, because those are the closest "standard military" scales. But also, I go by the average of the minifigs' dimensions, which sort of implies they are 5' tall and very, very broad. So I am (...)   Oh, wow. Wowowow. (was: Re: Project YAMATO)

(...) Jumpei, That is beautiful. Truly a thing of utter beauty. I am currently planning out a true-minifig-scale model of the battleship Fuso ca. 1944, though I am going closer to 1:35 scale given that minifigs are not truly to human propor- tions. (...)   Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

how do you do that? ???...??? With pieces from ONE set? I always run out of pieces or need another one of that piece (etc.). Yours look like they all belong there. Lego would have sold a lot more sets if this was the model I think. Steve (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) Oh wow... Great model, and great photography! I'm totally amazed at people who can build in Technic, and it's even more impressive that you only used parts from 8436! Looks like an official model. Instructions? :) -Bryan (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

(...) You really have quite a wide range of talent. Not only do you do good sports cars, but you have done robots, boats, people, trucks- all out of Lego kits. Maybe now you can start building construction vehicles. I assume you did not use a winch (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) I personally advocate 1 stud to the foot, which is about 1:38. If the stud size is exactly 8mm then it's 1:38.1. If a stud size is 5/16" then it's 1:38.4. There's little difference between the two, unless you build something 14630 plates high (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Hello everybody

Hello everybody, I'm new here. This is my first post. I started building Mecha about 9 month ago and the 22nd is the first that goes to public. It's named Primech because it's the first one that actually got a name. (2 URLs) The arms are inspired by (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bricksaic version 0.1.0

(...) I ran into this too while betatesting. If you were using, for example, MLCad, it might be a problem with the color definitions that MLCad is aware of. Bricksiac is getting its color info from the ldconfig.ldr file in the install dir, I think. (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) I agree with previous posts that the variability of minifigs, not to mention their dispropotion nature means that a number of scales are possible. However, for me personally Minifig scale is not really 40:1. I have been doing a lot of work (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

I'm pretty sure that soon you'll find a black, unmarked vehicle at your doorstep, from where two men in suits will emerge to ask you to join the Lego development group.
