  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

(...) I think there's a parallel between building mechs and building cargo ships, because the inside (either the joint tech or the cargo space) dictates what you can do with the outside. Thanks for the comments, Mark, glad you liked it! (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) (Blush), thanks! And I agree with you about Mark's "Pioneer". I just checked his gallery again, and I think you could maybe park my "Aggressor" inside the cargo container. (...) With a large (I hesistate to use the word 'unlimited') selection of parts even an average builder can likely create more or (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Johnny five IS alive - first MOC

Hi Stefan, I've seen bits and pieces of this as you've posted them to Brickshelf, but it's great the see Johnny in all his glory. I can't wait to see this completed. I hope that eventually you're able to post movies of him in action. Bruce (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Johnny five IS alive - first MOC

(...) Perhaps switching to 2x plates instead of 4x for the tread surfaces would help - this would help to smooth the curve around the wheels, at the cost of almost doubling the number of hinges you would need to add. Otherwise, love this MOC. Great (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic)

Re: Johnny five IS alive - first MOC

(...) You might find that spreading the hinge plates wider on the tread shoes will help. Having them near the centre increases the "twisting" effect if there are forces near the edge of the shoes. Also, having 3 per shoe instead of 2 may help - mine (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic)

  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

(...) Well Stefan, I try to do my best to come up with alternate models my own because often I'm not really impressed by the official ones. So if you say that the LEGO designers need to work harder I won't disagree with that... ;-) Nathanael (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

(...) Thanks Thomas, In my opinion my models just show some of the many possiblities what could be made with a designerset. They're mainly to stimulate people to build MOCs, that's probably why LEGO called them designersets. ;-) But if it will (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

Hey man. Cool ship. Gotta question though. Is the drop bay one continous walk through section or 3 walled off individual ones? I can't tell by the pictures. (...) I'm glad you enjoyed the dropship, Scott.
