  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

(...) Thanks Allen, It seems this creation got some attention and actually I'm a bit surprised. I didn't expect this to happen on a community where I see so many fabulous work of true LEGO artists. To stick with a limited parts selection is indeed (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

(...) Thanks Thomas, In my opinion my models just show some of the many possiblities what could be made with a designerset. They're mainly to stimulate people to build MOCs, that's probably why LEGO called them designersets. ;-) But if it will (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

(...) Too good??! There's always space for improvements, but I just do my best Paul. Hmm interesting thought that TLC consults with me on the parts selection. Would be nice ofcourse... :-D But if this would be the case it's not completely fair to (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

(...) WOW! This is the first I've seen of your 'designer alternates' and so I've just spent a highly enjoyable jaunt through your Brickshelf folders. Fabulous work which shows just what Lego is all about - I hope some of the designer set design (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Johnny five IS alive - first MOC

(...) Hi Mark Thanks for your feedback. Yes, treads are working, but moving is rather bumpy. Because of the construction of the treads and the huge overall weight they easily broke up. I'll give my best to make little movies and post it here. First (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Johnny five IS alive - first MOC

(...) Hi Thank you for your feedback and for adding my post to .technic. Yes it's true, moving is pretty jerky and because of the huge overall weight the treads will broke up .relatively often. Maybe I'll think about another kind of treads but I'll (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic)

  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

Hey man. Cool ship. Gotta question though. Is the drop bay one continous walk through section or 3 walled off individual ones? I can't tell by the pictures. I noticed some people think the suits are too small for the bays but it seems spacious (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

(...) The cargo bay turned out to be a little more spacious than those power suits required. I'm kicking around the idea of building a trio of bigger mechs that fill the space. I'm glad you liked it, Dan. I hope that cap ship you previewed is coming (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

(...) I'm glad you enjoyed the dropship, Scott. I assume that it would fly around by means of a point-source graviton generator, so it wouldn't need vectored thrust or aerodynamic lift (they're not engines, they're generators of some kind). Given (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

(...) I know what you mean about trying to finish that dropship. My first attempt at this one was completely scrapped and I started over. I know what you mean about the size of the missile boxes too. I finished them and realized they were way too (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

(...) I knew I left somebody out! While I wasn't looking at the Sword of Michael while building, you can't deny the similarity. Must have been a subliminal influence--how insidious. No one expects the Galactic Inquisition! (...) I thought since they (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Johnny five IS alive - first MOC

Hi Steven I remember seeing this a while back and thinking it wasn't even Lego, until I looked closer, woof. Woof, woof. And not only is it a great model but then you roboticized it as well. Cool. I can't wait to see when your done. This will be (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

(...) <snip> (...) I think it's righteous. It's hard to make something like this that doesn't look blah. You did a good job creating the look of a functional and not boring to look at, drop ship. Right on man. The colors didn't desturb me, I always (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

(...) Hello Nathanael! I'm so glad you posted this pic/link for people to see. I saw it earlier today on Brickshelf and was hoping that it would get the attention it deserves. I'm a big fan of your all of your work, not just this model. I hope when (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Johnny five IS alive - first MOC

(...) I've added .technic to the groups cos I think they'll like it over there too! Can't wait to see the finished robot - I remember Short Circuit from when I was a kid. One question I have, how smoothly does it move on those treads? I found my (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic)

  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

(...) Wow! Looks great! You're too good at this. You take the "What would you make?" thing to the next level. You make alternates that look like they could have been the main model. Tell the truth, does TLC consult with you on the parts selection (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

(...) Amazing work on all your alternate models. Wow! If not full-blown instructions, have you considered doing pics of your model during construction/deconstruction? I know I wouls love to try out some of your designs so I could see them in my (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

Really impressive for a limited parts pallette. Is this an official alternate model? Or just proof that Lego's alternate designers need to work harder? :^) -Stefan- (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, FTX)

  MOC4100: Cranetruck

Before I continue building alternate models of the new designersets I still wanted to build another one of the 'old' 4100 Maximum Wheels designerset. I tried to use as many bricks of the set as I could and this is the result: (URL) (Click the pic to (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.general, FTX) !!

  Re: "Found at Last" Vignette

I did enjoy working on this vignette. I have a couple of more planned in this (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)
