  BrickFest 60-minute brick build challenge

Thanks to all the incredibly inventive builders who participated in the first (and I hope the first of many) brick build challenges in the BrickFest free building room. Saturday's theme was "build something Olympic"; the time limit 60 minutes; and (...) (20 years ago, 16-Aug-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.build, lugnet.events, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Power Armor

(...) Ha! No way, dude. Before Mark started posting his new Snow Leopard army, I was spending my internet time going through your military catalog again. Maybe that helped me break my power armor builder's block! (...) Those were the days! But the (...) (20 years ago, 16-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: MOC : Two American Bomber

(...) Great work! I love your fuselage tapering solution, very simple and effective. More please! Take care, Gary (20 years ago, 15-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Power Armor

Wow, that's awsome. New and all, my praise may be of little value, but... Power armor is one of the things that got me started building. I just wish the ankles weren't black, so we might be able to see some of the guts there, I imagine it's very (...) (20 years ago, 15-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Power Armor

Dang Kyle, why do you have to build such cool MOCs! You make me feel so inferior. :-p j/k Haha, man, this is so cool! I remember when all the ol' builders like Karim Nassar, Ben Vaughan, and Jeremy Sproat built huge suits like this... Really makes (...) (20 years ago, 15-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Power Armor

Thanks in part to inspiration from some of the cool power suit designs some of you guys posted a while back, I've finally come up with a small mech design that I like: (URL) Click the pic for the gallery.   Re: Deep Space 9

  Re: Deep Space 9

Jaco, As a longtime DS9 fan, let me just say one word, "AWESOME!" I'm going to take a look at your construction pics a little later. Any chance for an instruction set? Steven (20 years ago, 15-Aug-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: MOC : Two American Bomber

(...) Wow, always great to see WW2 models, but two large bombers in ABS. Incredible! The only thing I could offer on the B-24 might be to consider using a clear 2 x 2 cylinder with dome top or 4 x 4 hemisphere for the top turret. I know that there (...)   BLASTERMAN

Y’know why I like Jeff Blasterman…? …’cause he’s smart and innovative! The problem was self-evident to us all. Here’s a perfect recent example: (URL) Keith Goldman’s comment:" “lego-bows are almost useless, it always looks like the fig is offering (...)   Re: MOC: Corn on the cob.

(...) Nice, the use of minifigs heads is cool, but kinda gruesome. ;) The corn would look better if you used plain heads, but this still looks almost good enough to eat! (20 years ago, 14-Aug-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: MOC : Two American Bomber

Awesome aircraft! I've always wanted to build a B-29, but could never figure out how to make the entire bloody thing ROUND. You've managed to make it look round without it really being so. Sweet. The shapes and look of the two are dead-on. BTW: (...) (20 years ago, 14-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: MOC : Two American Bomber

(...) I noticed you used painted transparent slopes on your b-29 Superfortress. Did you know you can use Brasso with a cloth rag to remove tha paint? It wont damage the parts and it's a great way to remove the paintings on most parts. Nice work BTW! (...) (20 years ago, 14-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  John Kerry Mosaic

I was inspired to make this after attending the John Kerry rally in Las Vegas on August 10, 2004. (URL) (20 years ago, 14-Aug-04, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.build.mosaic) !!

  Problem with some angles....

Okay friends. I have a bit of a problem I hope someone can assist me with. I'm in the process of mulling over a project in my mind. This is the only way I can do this, as all my Legos are in a place where they are inaccessable to be at this moment. (...) (20 years ago, 13-Aug-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: PCS Hull MAID Bot - Contest Entry

(...) Cute bot, you got some nice snot going there; what is that piece your'e using for the neck? By the way, can it hover, or only clean up at groundlevel? -NB (20 years ago, 13-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Secret A Bot

(...) Nice Bot; It looks like it would be right home with the space hippies (explaining the modest fire from the "flamethower") Good pics as well -NB (20 years ago, 13-Aug-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space, FTX)
