Re: Draconix - Two Headed Dragon Bot

(...) Left over parts? You must have twice as many white parts as most of us have parts! It always takes me a while to reply to your MOCs because I don't know what to say, except thanks for sharing them with us! I need to try putting some tire (...)   Re: White Patrol Mech.

(...) snip (...) Very cool! And a brand-new mini-hip design too! When I first looked at it, I thought, "why didn't he taper the waist down more", but then I saw you had a minifig pilot in that torso! Some parts are a little too thin for my taste, (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: TL-2 Chiron - New model

(...) Much better! I think what I like about it is the way the blue defines the nose section and also how well it works as both the cockpit section and the back of the mech head. (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: White Patrol Mech.

(...) (snip) Well I think it's COOL. Very elegant design, with an understated, effortless application of really interesting bricks (esp. the complex slopes). The mini-fig pod is masterfully done. I'd definitely pay ten bucks for this if I saw it at (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Joey, This is cool, there are so many strange planes out there that were only made in ones and twos, it's nice to see them made in Lego. Thanks, George (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  White Patrol Mech.

Ever since I started reading lugnet and brickshelf I have looked at the mecha that the Japanese builders produce with what can only be described as awe and reverence. It has been my goal to build like those guys, but after a year and a half I (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

  Re: Medium Mech, "Brawl"

(...) I'll ditto what everyone else said, but I'd also like to add that I'm digging the colour scheme. Ice Planet always looks too garish to me, but with grey replacing the white, and limited use of tr. fl. orange gives a very pleasing effect. Good (...) Bill Great job on your creations!! I am new at this and was looking at how to get started building any pointers. Thanks Mark (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: For building India, a review

Hello Erik, thanks for sharing the pics. I like the color scheme you've come up with. And although you can't come close to minifig scale, it really makes it more lifely. Very nice MOC!   Re: For building India, a review

(...) Yes, it is sad to reply to one's own 'reply' but I am now realising the source of Banker's books. Of course he has written a series - he is retelling an epic! Yep, I think this summer's reading is sown up. Chris (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: For building India, a review

Hi Erik Thanks for the tip - Banker's book(s) look like fun. A change of setting might draw me back into the fantasy genre. I can see from amazon that he has written quite a few in the Ramayana series. Chris (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brictoria Barracks is up and running

Hi Benjamin I like the barracks building and the 25lb Field gun. Your models could be really improved with better pictures if you have that possibility. It takes some real creativity to create 'modern' armies that don't look like Johnny Thunder (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  For building India, a review

I've opened up a lot of Adventurers India sets, even built some, but I never considered this much of an area for building until just recently. First of all there is K.K. Quah's excellent Taj mahal. See (URL) have just an idea, actually a source of (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: TL-2 Chiron - New model

(...) This ship is cool! Normally I don't go for transforming spaceships, too many compromises in the ship form and the mech form, but this one is different. It deserves better pictures! (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Project: Gundam Completed!

(...) I don't mind the big photo, Ryan. These things look like a lot of fun! I agree that you've gotten some good detail with some basic parts. I recommend adding one more axis of ankle articulation. (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: TL-2 Chiron - New model

(...) -snip- (...) More light! Try going outside on a sunny day, and making sure that the sun isn't behind the model (actually, you probably need to make sure that the model isn't between the camera and the sun - it's much easier that way).
