Re: USS Duluth - Hull design innovation!

(...) Thats a nice looking ship. Perhaps some recall my First National Bank from almost 4 yrs ago: (URL) used a similar curve technique. There is an 18" ruler and 7" brass bank that was the reference in the first picture. Maybe you also remember my (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.military)

I thought she stood okay-- the hips in particular ended up being stiffer than I'd expected; in fact, I think it's a preferable method of construction (...)   Re: USS Duluth - Hull design innovation!

Great work Dan! Is good to know that the USS Fletcher is not sailing alone any longer on the allied side. The Missouri would of course be a even more welcome reinforcement to the fleet. Please feel free to use armament from the Fletcher if suitable (...) (22 years ago, 7-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.military)
