The Process (was Re: Another Transformer - Trixie)

(...) I do now - well, not scanned as much as poorly photographed, but hopefully they're clear enough. I guess I'll just break down my process using Bitstream as an example. 1. First, I had to decide what kind of car I was going to use. I thought (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) Hmm. I see that Bricklink does call them cherries. I've got one of these elements and for some reason I thought it was antennas for one of those insects from the Belville sets. I think I got this in an e-bay lot that had some other Bellville (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) As always, great work. It's now my favorite site, on top of my bookmarks. I can't wait to see more! One small question: in the new testament, how come the scene where Jesus meets John the Baptist is not there, but the stories where John is (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) Thanks, David. (...) Thanks. Without using some perspective and depth-of-field trickery, I don't know how else I'd be able to pull off some of these scenes. I mean, who really wants to model the whole Israelite camp with a over a million (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) Thanks, Bruce. (...) Yeah, I had to decide between various larger-than-minifig size figures for this story. Besides what you mentioned, I also considered the LEGO Explore scale people, Technic figs, and Scala folk. At some point I want to make (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2

Wow, E! I didn't expect a treatise on Lego mecha, but you so obviously know your stuff... I have to say that I am so pleased to have participated (even via long-distance) in the Mecha display at BW03-- I couldn't have done it without you, and of (...)   Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2

(...) I'm a slave to Photoshop. Though I used a slow "film" speed, and lots of natural light, the pix were still underexposed. Photoshop brought out _some_ details, but not everything. I'm going to try to take some more with a filtered flash. (...) (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Mecha "For Girls"

Greetings! With apologies to Stuart's "Neko 2", Jeremiah's "Trixie" and other fine female mechs I just had to try my hand at a PIXIE "For Girls" (URL) kudos to whomever is moderating BrickShelf today, these passed inspection less than 30 seconds (...)   My microfig stuff

Hi all, I figured I'd add to the mix of a new group with links to my microMOCs. I don't have a lot and they're previously posted, but here they are: Star Wars ships: (URL) cars (inspired by Sean Kenney's great designs): (URL) a link to Sean's stuff (...)
