Last Call For BricksWest 2003 Presenters/Sessions

The organizing committee is attempting to finalize the BricksWest schedule by the end of next week. This is the absolute last chance for you to step forward and volunteer to run a session or two in Carlsbad. To date, we are a bit heavy on trains, (...)   New joints

Hey all! Some people have been finding some new SW sets around, and I was wondering - has anyone had a chance to play with some of those new large ball joints? They look sort of flimsy to me, but I would be interested in knowing whether or not this (...) (23 years ago, 14-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Check out our latest diorama from our homepage, Jabba's Palace ; (URL) a simple diorama using the three Jabba's Palace sets #4475, #4476 and #4480 with the Hasbro 3D Jabba's playset.   Some more mutilation concepts

The Brick-brick mutilation is based on a repetitive masonry pattern on the side of a 1x4 brick. The 1x4's can either be staggered (crossing lines when stacked) or vertically stacked. If staggered then a 1x2 is needed as well for the ends. Also if (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.arch)

Re: What do you sit on when you build?

(...) When building sets, I have a silver champion box (with compartments) that I empty the bags into, then sit on the sofa with it on my knees. Sometimes hard to get the instructions in a comfortable spot but generally works OK. When building MOCs (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.storage)

Re: What do you sit on when you build?

Depends... I tend to sit on my sofa, but sometimes on the floor (wooden). It depends on the models size and so... I tend yo build large models on the floor, but details/smaller models I build on the table. It also dependes, some models are easy to (...)   Re: LEGO (SNOT) Mosaic: The Mad Hatter

(...) LEGO contracted me to write the LEGO Mosaic program that is on their shop.lego.com website. While it is, in some ways, similar to my program, their requirements and specifications were very different than those of Pixelego (my program). (...)   Re: LEGO (SNOT) Mosaic: The Mad Hatter

(...) Didn't TLG themselves pick that one up? Anyway, very clever building technique Eric. It gives a much better look to the final picture than having them all the same way. Funny how both images are effectively the same resolution, yet the SNOT (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
