  Sweet Lego Gundams (Must-See!)

Hey All- While browsing thru brickshelf, I came upon these... (URL) is DEFINATELY what I want for Christmas. I like how he uses pieces, especially on the Deathscythe, which happens to be my fave Gundam, too. When my mechs come apart some day, you (...) (22 years ago, 25-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Joan D'arc

'Once upon a time, many years ago, a great war raged that tore France apart. That war was known as "guerre cent ans" or "one hundred years war" (more like 107 but who's counting). During that war, rose a hero. A small girl from a little farm known (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.castle)

Re: This could be useful in the future....

Hi, I think you are talking about Stereolithography (SLA). A company called 3D Systems makes this particular system. Unfortunately, the polymer they use costs several hundred dollars per gallon and I'm pretty sure the material is not really safe. (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

RE: This could be useful in the future....

(...) We have a rapid prototyper at school. The models that come out of the machine are much less durable, have much lower tolerances, take much longer to manufacture, and are much more expensive than any molded part. It's called a prototyper (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: This could be useful in the future....

Pretty cool huh, I beleive the technique is called Laser Lithography. I once contacted a company in Florida that has one of these connected to a 3D Scanner. Simular to when an Actor's head or face is scanned and then manipulated in a computer. Then (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

This could be useful in the future....

I am sitting here, watching TLC, and i see this thing called a rapid prototyper. It, apperently, can create anything that you can 3-D model onto the computer, and churn out an unlimited number of them as long as there is enough power and this clear, (...)   Fully Transformable Robotech Cyclone

Had the urge to make the Robotech Cyclone. Hope you guys like it. This is just a standard issue Cyclone armor. When I have time I will make all the characters and their armor like Joel and Todd did.   LEGO Mosaic: CEO Portrait

Well, this is not a portrait of someone that anyone is likely to know, but it's nice to see that some CEOs like LEGO bricks too. Plus, this rather sizable mosaic stands as my first major example of a 'studs up' (stacked brick) mosaic: (URL) and (...) I was messing around with minifigs while sorting bricks this weekend and I decided to try uploading to Brickshelf for the first time and see how pictures turn out. (...) :) Actually, I was scanning around this site: (URL) saw a link for Fantasia. They actually argue that the broom is not a true villain, but I saw how I could do it, so I figured what the heck.
