Re: The Mantis - To take apart or not take apart?

(...) Well, it's a bit late. :D The ship's now about 65% disassembled; everything above the AD in all but the frontmost section. All the turrets and bridgework are sorted back into their bins. It's amazing, because I only started about 8 hours ago. (...) (23 years ago, 10-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

  A very inspiring design

Hi all, This new robot by Joe Nagata integrates so many solutions in such a simple design that I have little doubt it will be as instantly inspiring to many of you as it has been to me.   Re: Pope's 7 site up and running

Awesome work! I especially like that Split Wing fighter. You definitely have a distinct building style and I look forward to seeing more in the future. -- Tom - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (URL) Neufeld" <faraday81@hotmail.com> (...)   Re: The Mantis - To take apart or not take apart?

(...) This made me think. You build stuff and share it with an audience. Some of us get up close and take pictures and really try to figure out how you did some particular assembly. It's often all about the sharing of your work, right? How better to (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: I forgot my Camera!

(...) Well you have *tried* to hi-jack Eric's thread for something to inflict pity upon yourself. Selfish at the very least I must say. >:-( anyways... Bummer bout the camera Eric, sounds like you had a cool little display there, maybe next time. (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Mantis - To take apart or not take apart?

(...) I've thought about this issue for a day. I think Joel has thought about it much longer. (: First I asked, do I have any MOCs that have survived? Good luck. I just moved and have not unsealed the boxes yet. The funny thing is, the MOCs I've (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Lego Technic Exo-suits

Hey, these are cool! I dig them very much-- you know, I almost don't notice the lack of unified colour scheme on the Hulk; it gives it a worn-in look, the kind of thing that made Joe Johnston's Star Wars designs so lively and realistic. the models (...)   My Town Contest Entry: Beechcraft

L Aircraft (URL) aircraft is modelled after the beechcraft baron. The real beechcraft is a twin engine that seats six people - in minifig scale it seats two! Thanks, Kevin Dixon kevin-dixon@rogers.com (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.town)

Re: The Mantis - To take apart or not take apart?

Poor Eric! I understand your pain. I've just restarted into LEGO a short while ago and really can't imagine taking apart one of the things I've built. But all the nice LEGO-parts used in the models are too important to leave them "unused", so be (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)
