Re: Present state of the Mantis

Yep,the Mantis scoffed at it's might and then the walls fell. Darmak and Jallad at Tanagra, when the walls fell. ....His eyes red! Ahhhh.....Sophie and Nuemann at Sealug, when the bricks fly. (sorry I'm a Star Trek nut amoung other things) (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Present state of the Mantis

Naww no collapse, just neglect, plus when I made the thing I suded everything I had to make it. So the inside has all kinds of goodies just waiting to be used over again or swapped for another less used color. Sad to see it in this state after (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Present state of the Mantis

Yes! to rebuild or build anew! I'm not sure! I think the later, we can always improve on past designs. Fact is I stole way to many parts from it and it was always to heavy. Perhaps a redesign in a years time. When I get all my Mechs back from (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.build)

  By the way:

Also: At another, mildly twisted site I frequent, I came across this mighty gem of brilliance, which I played around with for a good hour and a half before I went to check the "info": (URL) I wonder who wrote *that*? ;) And where are my pants? best (...)   Another Valentine's Day MOC

Hafner's not the only sappy romantic among us. Here's what I built for my wife for Valentine's Day. A similar sentiment, in a slightly different form (and to think I actually built this before he posted his, and they turned out remarkably similar). (...)   Crusaider light melee mech teaser

I posted this in .space where I usually stomp...but thought it might be of more interest here. Good pics to follow... My first mech! :D YAY! (URL) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: First Super Deformed Gundam

(...) Not deformed enough? What are you talking about? This isn't deformed at all! (...) Hmm, now why is that :) (...) I am glad you noticed that this isn't an SD Gundam! I was actually thinking of building a real Super Deformed Gundam in the ornate (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Present state of the Mantis

wait! don't tell me. The Elemechaphant got loose again. What'd I tell you about letting that beast run around. Mark (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.build)

  The Terrian Cruisers Debut

I haven't done any space since I came out of dark ages until just this week. Last night I came up with two little space ships/speeders that I felt were worth sharing. Both are around 25 studs in length and have room for the just the pilot. The link: (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Re: First Super Deformed Gundam

(...) Very good, except... its not deformed enough. That Gundam just looks like Deathscythe with wing's head. I think you should take a look at these: (URL) on another note, Who's going to buy the GP-03 Dendrobium? No not the small one, the big one: (...) (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another Space Probe

I like it Steve. I really like the simplicity of the first version as well. The second version reminds me of something I've been working on for a new model: (URL) cylinders are a perfect fit. They just barely touch each other. The only problem is I (...) (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.build)

Re: Present state of the Mantis

(...) D'oh! was that done on purpose or did it collapse on accident? Either way, that's a pretty dramatic pile of rubble. Adrian (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Valentine MOC: Cute? Yes. Cheesy? Oh, yeah!

(...) No, no- although I expect she won't want it up forever, it's hers to keep if she wants to! I just hope it gets to hang for a couple of weeks at least. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Valentine MOC: Cute? Yes. Cheesy? Oh, yeah!

(...) Very cute ;P it's sweet :) But you'll be in trouble if she doesn't want you to pull it apart :) Mel (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Present state of the Mantis

Ah-ouch!!! That looked like it hurt right away :( So to rebuild or build anew... That is the question... It was beautiful whilst it lasted... you should get a pic of one of your other mechas standing amongst the rubble, with little wisps of smoke (...) (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.build)
