  Re: My Starcruiser

(...) Actually, I don't know exactly what to rate it cuz I would need to know what it's primary uses are. But is it atmosphere re-entry capable? Is it just to get business folks from here to there? Is it pleasure or military craft? Is it a science (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My Starcruiser

(...) Pretty nice. At least a 7. One nitpick, though. Your image in .gif format is 270kbytes in size - over 1/4 of a meg! Convert it to .jpg and you can scrunch that down to about 50kb - making the download *much* faster. Plus, jpg has 24bit color, (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My new Engine: SD70M

THIS ENGINE ROCKS. Really. Raises the bar on engine detail and accuracy. Very nice. AND it's in WARBONNET!!! Need bigger pictures, though. My big beef is using those notched end 1.2x6 end railings on the side. Those are just wrong. Everyone does it, (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Re: 2 Vehicles and more pics of Fallingwater

(...) With both JavaScript and stye sheets on, it crashes. With JavaScript on and style sheets off, it works fine, except that it's ugly. With JavaScript off, and style sheets on, the page loads, but it doesn't use ths style sheet for some reason. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.build)

  Re: Wing Commander models?

I started to build one of the heavier fighters from WC2 or 3, more as a concept project than anything. It might have been the Scimitar. I only completed the cabin and nose before I needed some of the parts for another project. It employed lots of (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: 2 Vehicles and more pics of Fallingwater

(...) I suspect Javascript. I keep CSS turned on, and Javascript off, and Netscape rarely crashes on my anymore. Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.build)

Re: 2 Vehicles and more pics of Fallingwater

Bram, Great models. I really like the Semi and Falling water is very cool because it is something I would be able to recognize with anyone telling me what it was just because of its unique architecture. That Netscape thing is ugly though and (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.build)

Re: Machine Building Ideas Videos and Books

David Macaulay has a book and a CDROM both titled "The New the Way Things Work". Most public libraries have the book. The CDROM probably has more motion and content to offer. Amazon describes the CDROM at (URL) if the CDROM shows the differential (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My new Engine: SD70M

(...) Thanks Ralph, I agree, the Technic crown gear is one of the most realisticly sized & shaped object for a fan cover that I have seen. It even curves over around the edges like the real fan covers do! Unfornately, I can't claim this as my (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jul-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Re: Where can I buy Lego Tank Treads??

(...) What sort of tank? I've got a big Panzer Tank that I'll try to photograph and post after I get one last piece for it. I'm working on other WWII stuff, too, and I'd love to see what you've done. Any chance we'll see pictures sometime? Josh (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  My new Engine: SD70M

Howdy, Here's my first attempt at a more realistic engine than those that come with the sets from TLG. Its modeled after the SD70M, which was featured in the July 99 issue of RMC.
