  Re: bullfrog

(...) I like the overall form of this mech a lot. It's very different from anything I've seen before and it definitely has an amphibian feel to it. Definitely like the whole technic fig hardsuit theme as well. Seeing these pics have inspired me to (...) (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: The Cypher

Hey very cool Chris! I really like it! It looks tough and ready to rumble, but delicate and fragile at the same time, neat! The big shoulder cannon is cool, I like that alot, but the fact that there is a pilot in there really soups it up! Great work (...) (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: The Cypher

(...) Thanks Stuart. That's basically what I did, just built the main frame/body, then "greebly'd" it up a lot. I wanted to simulate the inner workings showing in places and such. I'm really getting to love the grey and tan color scheme too. :-) (...) (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) <at attention> Sir, thank you sir! A digital camera would have helped greatly, sir! :-) -Chris (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: The Cypher

(...) Thanks Bobby. (...) The plating for the cockpit is the head. You could do it in terms of eyes (this mech's sensors). The two space guns on the front (one with red 1x1 dot, one without) are the mech's sensors. Kind of jumbled tho...good pics (...) (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Contest entries

Hey, All- Chris Maddisons' model, the Cypher, is currently the first entry in the mecha contest! Check it out at (URL) ! Also, I'll let Stuart's Bullfrog enter, as long as nobody else tries the "delayed post" entrys. I really like it! Ryan Wilhelm (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: The Cypher

(...) This is a very nice piece. It is so densely packed that I didn't even notice the pilot right away. I like the sheer bulk of it-- incredibly massive on a small scale. And the colours are fab! stuart (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: bullfrog

(...) I found this: "2. Model must be an original mecha creation made after Nov. 29" That counts the bullfrog out, which is perfectly ok. (...) thanks, B! (...) yeah, I was hoping actually to get the inside the _legs_ instead. Oh, well. If it's used (...) (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: bullfrog

(...) oh, hey, I think you frogs stick together... and thanks for liking it, really. It is much appreciated. I hope I didn't offend anyone-- I didn't mean to be excessively anything. But in my own defence, my criteria for self-analysis follow: Did I (...) (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: bullfrog

(...) Thanks GAMH. You have picked the right reference-- Shirow is always a big influence. His Landmates are so pared down and organic, though, it's a personal challenge to achieve in a rectilinear medium. thanks for your comments. stuart (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
