Re: New MOC: "Loiterer" Anti-Tank/Mecha Helicopter"

Heh, thanks Rick! I'm a big fan of your aerospace stuff. Building any flying vehicle ain't that easy.... ;-) (...) (23 years ago, 2-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New MOC: "Loiterer" Anti-Tank/Mecha Helicopter"

Very nice Mladen! Nice to see some other types of aerospace out here in .space! I like how you used a 1x2 panel (trans) for a pseudo-HUD. The Landing gear are real neat too. I juist love the weapons all over it! Rick (23 years ago, 2-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

I was expecting this to be "over the top." It wasn't. It is simple and powerful - just like the image. You did a very beautiful job, and in my humble opinion, picked the perfect mini-figure combination. I can't explain it either, but this moved me (...)   New MOC: "Loiterer" Anti-Tank/Mecha Helicopter"

(URL) by: Russian Hind D helicopters seen in Patlabor 2 NOTAR helicopters AH-1 Cobra (sorta...) The "Loiterer" utilizes [1] NOTAR technology, therefore it needs no tail rotor. Also, it DOES have retractable landing gear. Just wanted to get those two (...) (23 years ago, 2-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)

  Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) SWEET! That's powerful! I hadn't thought of anything like that. I currently have my fire fighters volunteering to build a memorial for lost fire fighters. Josh (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: New Mecha, The Rf-79 Tiger

(...) Yikes I didn't even see that likeness! I only used Gundams as my inspiration though, wonder how that came about, the likeness is pretty durn close. ;-) So what did you think of the mecha itself? C'ya! -Geordan- (who's still thirsting for (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Snowman Sculpture

(...) I basically did it all on Friday. Probably around 8-10 hours or so. I'm getting pretty adept at doing circular objects in sculpture, so it didn't really take me that long at all to do the ball shapes.   Re: Ground Zero Memorial

(...) Not wrong at all, Alan. That picture spoke to me as well - I think it probably has to pretty much everyone. There's something about your creation that I can't describe.. it's so simple but hits the essence of the photograph perfectly. The (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: 2nd Annual Space Building Contest?

CAD questions: 1) Is posting the DAT/MPD files for the model(s) along with the renderings sufficent (I'm using Brickshelf), or do they need to be e-mailed to The Scrutinizer separately? 2) My pilot is an 'unofficial' model. I took the sitting (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

  Ground Zero Memorial

Hi folks. I guess it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that ever since I saw the photo it has haunted me. Here is my attempt at dealing with it. (URL) apologies that it's so big (>400 kB).   Re: MS-06 Zaku Production at the Foundry

(...) Awwwww. I guess I can wait if I have to. :-/ (...) Yea. Walls of bricks use a friggin ton of parts. Us space/mecha heads use so many angles and greebles, we dont allways realilize how many parts something like a wall may take. That's why my (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
