Re: New Mecha, The Rf-79 Tiger

Geordan, Very nice mecha. I really like the idea of removable armour. Overall the mecha holds it shape and is not lost in a ton of greeblies. I don't have much to add except that I like the wrench on the head. All in all very nice touches (...) (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha, The Rf-79 Tiger

Really good! Geordan, colour me amazed! Just the idea to make an armoured armature is impressive, but to execute it at this scale is a fantastic achievement. I'm with Mladen, I'm drawn to the huge shoulders the most-- I suppose I'm partial to (...) (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha, The Rf-79 Tiger

(...) Hey G. Cool mech dude. I really dig the removable armor idea. If you are doing battle scenes and what to show battle damage that comes in handy. Also, if in the future you want to "upgrade" you mech you can leave the inside intact and just (...) (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Japanese do it again!

snip> thanks Ryan! (...) Of course you can! But you can't compare my mecha to yours, because we both build different types of mecha, you build mechwarrior style mechs, where as I build anime inspired mecha, it's like comparing a apple to a carrot, (...) (...) they (...) Ouch. And I thought I could build Mecha. Ok, so I can't. Really cool,Geordan. I like it better than the "Visage", except that 'oddly positioned' missile rack. Still, it's over and above any mobile suit style creation I've tried. (...) (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Japanese do it again!

I'm always impressed by Japanese creations. This person's stuff is excellent. I especially like his "Ripper" mecha, tan + brown parts... mmmm... ;-) The police mecha looks great as well, very Patlabor-inspired. I can see he got a lot of inspiration (...) Ooo... I like what I see! ;-) Very cool Geordan. I really like the shoulders, I dunno why. Guess 'cause it was kind of bold of you to make them so enormous and all red-coloured! The torso is well done, as are the legs. The right, forearm-mounted (...) (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: My new work "M4A1 Sherman"

(...) Wow, that's beautiful! I like your ability to judge where the "pixellations" are OK and where they're not-- it looks splendid. One question: How did you get the bogie trucks to stay together?
