Re: New MOC: PSU (Police Support Unit)

(...) LOL! I'm not really raising the bar, I'm just building what I like. I'm sure some of the other mecha builders could design a better quadruped police tank... ;-) (...) Thank you! Getting the pilot in there was the biggest challenge, once I got (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: PSU (Police Support Unit)

Thanks Travis! The mini-gun was a last minute sorta thing. I actually envisioned this mecha having six back mounted grenades which were made of those axle pieces. After I saw this would be too large, I started making it smaller. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: PSU (Police Support Unit)

Excellent as usual, Mladen. I especially love the underside-- real bug-like, just like Shirow tends to design. It's funny, though-- I know the Shirow piece you referenced, but I don't actually remember a lot of walking tanks actually _in_ GITS (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What do YOU do with face-less heads?

(...) I can't speak for the yellow ones but the black (and grey) faceless ones are quite useful to trainiacs. I use 2 black heads in each dummy truck (simulated power truck) I make. And since 3 of my MTW models use at least one dummy truck, I use a (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: What do YOU do with face-less heads?

(...) Look good, I was debating just last night what to do with all my blank black heads from my Siths, now I am sure of it, columns. Looks like a neat little town, I'll have to check out some of the other pictures. I like what you used for the (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.build.arch)

(...) form. The whole police thing is interesting.. something i have been wanting to do is build for a long time is a whole diaorama(spelling?) of a semi-futuristic city (ala ghost in the shell or new dominion tank police) And have mecha action (...)   Re: New MOC: PSU (Police Support Unit)

Mladen, you have got to stop raising the bar on us. Just as I thought I could hurdle it and catch you with another great design, the hurdle goes up another six inches and trips me! :) Seriously, this is one fantastic design! I, too, was shocked to (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: PSU (Police Support Unit)

Just saw this on brickshelf. Looks good. I like the look of the legs and the mini gun. Travis Dickinson (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) new, (...) work (...) the (...) You're too kind Geordan. ;-) The leg design is actually a sort of preview, if you like, of what I'm going to be doing during Dec.-Jan. The MDP (Mobile Defence Platform) will have very "interesting" legs. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: PSU (Police Support Unit)

(...) and (...) of (...) Thanks Borislav! Nah, Shirow's [1] Fuchikoma is much better. Hehe... I guess it doesn't really look aggressive. The "Police" probably likes irony... ;-) (...) Mladen Pejic, over and out! (URL) Here's the "non-screwed up" (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: PSU (Police Support Unit)

WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! Just when I thought it was going to be a while before you show us something new, wham! Beautiful! The greeblies on the underside of the knee rule, not to mention the awesome side mounted cannons, this is superb, the colours work (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New MOC: PSU (Police Support Unit)

(...) by itself! I have no idea what is the relationship between Masumane Shirow and the PSU, but the PSU looks muck better. You have made an extremely nice use of the jet ski handles and the little Technic piece posing as a machine cannon. For some (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  removing a Minnie head

I think Minnie Mouse would be much cuter and more usable if she had a traditional Fabuland body. I have been trying to remove a Minnie Mouse head to try it out with zero success. (...) You mean ingenious, and no I don't, but I don't mind doing one, it's quite simple. (...) To be honest I cheated. It's not held on it's just placed their. In real life I'd use a proper 2x2 brick or plate with a peg to hold the hub. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
